Well, I didn't return to dA maybe for half-a-year, a year, and this summer I came back with this new account... that's it
As for personal life events, too many things, really. The latest thing that destroyed me and my health was the break-up with my boyfriend. I was with him for 1 year and a half and loved him truly...

that sounds terrible
I can understand how you felt...relationship break up is indeed really hurt  
but I guess you made a correct decision
if you're not comfortable with the relationship anymore, it's better to break up
rather than force yourself to stay with him out of sympathy
it's not good for both of you
I had been in similar position as your ex's (minus the persistence to get back together)
when you (still) in love with someone, you can be really ignorant of reality
like "I know it's not going to work for us...but I still want to be with that person"
but avoidance is not really good way to end things, though sometimes it's the only way
in my case, when that guy avoided when I talked about my feelings, it was just hurting me more...
like he didn't even care how I felt
I guess it's maybe better to stay in good terms with the person & help them to overcome the period
if you act hostile towards him, it'll just worsen the situation

ahh, you got the "stay with him out of sympathy" point right... I realized it was that, and not quite love, recently...
yes, in your case, he would have better talked with you and you two would have found a common point, even if the situation is not very ... romantic
in my case, ignorance does good, but even I am amazed that I can do it, I loved him enormously..

I think since sympathy also form of affection, it misled you into thinking that it was love
it can be deceiving indeed
it's good that you don't continue being in that kind of relationship
it would only hurt him too when he learnt that he is just being pitied

yeah, guess it's better that way
we separated peacefully & mutually understand that things couldn't work for us
I accepted the fact that he doesn't love me anymore
but I wished that he would help me get over him & not just focused to return things as it was before

I agree that it's amazing for you to be able to do so
it's really hard to stay away from the one that you loved
you can't help but getting drawn back to the person, even after you determined to stay away from them
but sometimes...it was the best thing to do
especially if being together would just caused pain & discomfort
