Thanks! It's pretty great so far. The government is not currently shut down so I don't have to work today (I know that sounds backwards). I've been learning and practicing Android development today, which has been fun (I haven't done Java in roughly 20 years). Went out for some excellent sushi and sashimi for lunch.

No prob! Thank you for having a birthday! That makes us even (right?). I find that the occasional pleasant surprise is welcome (to balance out all those darn unpleasant surprises). [Technically you also already got Liz's birthday lunch, so I had considered giving her a gift on your birthday to balance it out, but she doesn't post much so I didn't think she would use a Core anyway. Maybe give her a hug or a high-five or something? So you got two birthdays this year! #winning ]

I don't know if you have any use for Core but I hope you have some fun with it. I recommend making humorous polls. I doubt you need the name-change feature because you've already got a pretty cool name and you didn't seem to be tired of it. [I assume you already have adblock, but if not then enjoy fewer ads as well.]

Thanks. The day itself was mostly fine.  The night before, however, was problematic. I remember going to bed on time, but there is evidence to suggest that I had a bad reaction to a medication that may have left me with a few missing hours where I had woken up and don't remember. My email and Twitter activity suggests as much, at least. Sorry if that sounds really weird (even more than normal) and TMI. So far no unexpected packages or anything, so I don't think I bought anything like the last time something like this happened (probably a year ago by now).

The normal thought in this situation (discovering unexplained activity) would probably be "my account was hacked", but I'm pretty sure it was my brain that was hacked, which is more worrisome, but also harder to fix.

Anyway, thanks for the birthday wishes; much appreciated.

My birthday was also "Safer Internet Day" this year (first Tuesday in February?), so I got to talk to a lot of people about my cause (NetSmartz), which was productive.

The odds of a shutdown on Friday dropped below 50%, so an endowment to the arts was in order. Plus, I'm rather enjoying those Sunday Classics, so I wouldn't want to have those interrupted.

I have a few quests to offer Liz for EFNW, if she is up for a challenge. Rewards are all in the form of XP.

1. Tutorial quest: take a picture of someone cosplaying as Kurt Cobain (intentionally or accidentally).

2. Spy quest: On Saturday afternoon, say around 2:00p - 4:00p or so, make note if you see anyone from our Seattle office walking around. (They will be working at the con doing Operation Safe Kids fingerprinting from 10:00a - 2:00p and will probably be wearing something with the star logo on it.) I am hoping they will actually explore the con a little, maybe check out the vendor's hall or something. I wanted to go, but will have to sit this one out, so I have no way of knowing if they actually walked around.

3. Friendship quest: Probably on Friday, if you see the lovely Dana Claire Simpson, give her a big hug. (Rumor has it that she might be hanging out with Tabitha at some point.)

4. Loot quest: bring Kae back a gift that she will love but won't make any sense to anyone else.

What Rarity has done for her sister is more than I'd ever ask of her.  Most of her generosity these days probably goes towards giving Sweetie a happy home.  Plus, Rariday was just four days ago, so we should probably show her some generosity this week.

As for me, I couldn't risk letting JG and it's spin-offs end before we get to the Twabs wedding.  Plus, I have seen Officer Babs looking handsome in her uniform, but have never seen Barrister Twist T. Twistimane, Esquire, in her lawyer's wig and robe.  [Note: with her poof she probably just powders her mane instead of wearing a wig.]

Glad you liked it.  I never know what to get a stranger when the only thing I know about them is "great artist".

I forget birthdays too, which is why I heart dA's reminders.  I try to log in at least once a week to make sure that I don't miss anyone.
