Kaffee, D&D, Bücher und Metal? Definitv

I came to thank you fro faving but on the way down here I was stopped by you Deviant ID info. I thought to myself, "holy crud this person sounds so much like me!" XD I am not so sure my favorite art style would be surrealism, but other than that those could have been my own answers to those questions. The Chaotic Neutral bit made me laugh.
I thought you might be interested in my coffee poems since you are a fellow enthusiast.
Jack the Bean Stalker
Fum! Fie! Foe! Fee!
I need some Joe to awaken me!
I feel slightly alive, but mostly dead
So I’ll grind some beans
To clear my head

I really enjoyed your coffee poems, especially the lines
I feel slightly alive, but mostly dead
So I’ll grind some beans
To clear my head
(which is me in the morning). I think I added the "Chaotic neutral" part shortly after playing DnD for the first time although I only recently started to actually play regularly .
Your poem 'migration' is beautiful. I never knew the person you wrote it about, but I lost someone in my family shortly before the onset of spring and sometimes it seems weird that in nature everything starts to grow and is rich with life while part of my brain is still kind of stuck in winter.
It made me realize how finite and fragile life is and every time I hear news about someones passing, even if I never met the person, I am sad for the family and friends of the person who passed away but also sad about the missed opportunity to ever get to know them.

Exactly! It can be fun to play Chaotic Neutral every so often. I haven't played D&D in forever, mostly because I designed my own game system. One of the first things I did was toss alignment out the window. I wanted to make my game much more ambiguous and fluid. I always hated that someone could cast a know alignment spell and magic ally find all the potential targets. I kind of hated the whole hack and slash mentality. I wanted a much deeper game that required people to think and rewarded them if they did.
I had better stop or I will go on forever about my game, and I don't even have any players anymore so it is kind of a mute point.
I am super pleased you liked my poems. Jack the bean stalker did win a coffee poetry contest. I laughed when the idea came to me so I knew other people would like it too.

I play as chaotic good at the moment actually, though the DM quite often asks us reproachfully if we are sure we are good I liked the situations when we managed to get quite far by persuading and tricks and did not murder anyone (though admittedly I also like casting spells). We got one guy to give us information by promising to help him escape the other members of his bandit gang, so we kind of had our own witness protection program. I did not know there was a know alignment spell, but I am still a beginner. It seems quite difficult to keep a group together for an extended amount of time, so I am not sure how long I will be able to continue.
I find it impressive that you created your own game system, I find the game quite complex and am still at times getting confused by all the rules.

Yeah it is a classic level 2 cleric spell from the very oldest days of D&D. I am one of the old timers that started playing before they even had polyhedral dice. Modules came with a sheet of paper with all the numbers on it which you cut up and put into shaker cups which you would draw. Dice made it so much better. Back then the ONLY book around was the original players handbook. I rushed to the hobby shop to get the first edition Dungeon Master's Guide as soon as it came out. Back then I was one of the first kids playing it. My parents tended to blame any misbehavior of mine on it. Ultra conservative religious groups denounced it as a one way ticket to devil worship and suicide (not kidding). I haven't played for years but it sure brings back a lot of memories.

I did not now DnD did not have dice when it came out, it was always the first thing I associated with it I have to ask my sister when she started playing, it was probably a few years after the first German edition was released. When I played the first time I must have been around sixteen and visiting my sister. My dad would probably consider it silly if he knew I was playing again now as an adult (he considers science fiction and fantasy childish in general and is probably occasionally frustrated by three daughters who are all kind of nerds) but it is kind of extreme that religious groups considered a creative problem-solving game devil worship...
It actually helped me get through some stressful times since it provided a welcome distraction and something to throw myself into.

I played for the first time back in 1978 with my friend Kipling. Then I moved away. When I came back several years later I found my cousin Eric had started playing. I played basically nonstop after that whenever we could. I used to take the books with me to school in junior high so I could plan dungeons, make new characters etc. My childhood was D&D.
