Why are you doing collages for wide angle instead of stitching the images with some sort of stitching software?

the tiny (and in some cases not-so-tiny) changes you make to the places you photograph make my skin crawl, and my brain do back-flips. many of your scenes are transformed from the real into the illusory in a most original way. the addition of a small amount of black shadow line made the Villa Adriano look computer generated, even as Arcade II and Trekroner were transformed into the manufactured by your careful use of distorted angles, and apparent changes in contrast and light.
iβll have to come back and complete my tour of your gallery.

I mostly in to Greman abstract and minimalistic electronica like "Microstoria" "Porter Ricks" "Thomas KΓΆrner" and "basic channel" and the reason that deChirico isnt on my list is just that I ran out of space to write

ah, i see what you are referring to...but youy are also trying to work in encaustic, a medium that is neither forgiving or easy on the temperment.

I was inspired by the nice structures that Johns gets with it. I like it in some way. It has this transparancy, but it is quite some work to make it in different colors. So I add it as an extra effect, while working for the most with acryl, sand and other stuff to put on.
You think it is difficult to work with it? Forgiving? Like... you make something and it is difficult to correct? I think I can always scrape it off, or paint over it. It is still the color and shape that I am trying to get something with. The texture is just underlying, not adding to the composition... or does it? Hmm.

why speechless?
a book would be a good way to collect those polaroids indeed. it's some kind of project i have. i asked a friend to try to write some texts to go with the pictures and when i have a "finished product', i should try to get it published.. but i wonder how .....

RON! i've been painting mostly, mixed media stuff with a lot of collage and debris. all day, every day for months. i've decided to start haunting this place, i'm not sure when or if i'll submit here, maybe soon, i'm not sure. i've barely been online since i started working on this latest series of paintings.
you've been really busy it seems. i'll have to comment soon. beautiful stuff! i had been meaning to suggest laserprint collages to you before and i kept forgetting. the implementation of new methods in work can really expand the limitations of a medium. loving it. i'll probably comment on spaceborn later, coming here still seems wierd to me. how's Siff? i haven't seen new work from her in a while. i hope you two crazy kids are doing well.

No, that picture is untouched except for all the paint on it. I thought it was odd that was blurred, actually. I think it was a Ralph Lauren ad.
