My dolls arrived yesterday, just two days after you sent them. I'm totally in love with 'em! XD Will have to save up some more dough to commission you again when you're ready to open your queue.

what make this request even more special was that I have had trouble trying to get others make her for me. so she is a character that hasnt had a custom nor and official product of her ever made.
will be sending you a $30 deposit on the 3rd week of August , so I shall need you to send me an email with the total price , the shipping price , your pay pal account for my parents to pay the rest , and your address so I can send you my deposit payment via money order so it will be easier for me to send it quickly to you.

How on EARTH do you make such perfect yarn hair?! I am so jealous of all your lovely work!

Aw shucks!
Mostly the yarn just does it's thing. It's a lot better at imitating crazy anime hair than real hair would be (hooray for defying gravity!).

Yeah I know, anime hair and outfits sometimes.. But do you sew it on piece by piece? Or mount it all on a piece of felt or something? It looks like it keeps it shape well.
(To quote Fairly Oddparents, "COIF!" )

sorgie In reply to BunnieBard [2009-07-06 13:30:35 +0000 UTC]
Usually I tie a bunch of cut yarn in the center (kinda like how you tie some accordion folded paper in the center and bend it to make a fan in kindergarten) and stitch down the knotted part where the hair part would be on the character's head and style it from there (slicked back or bangless styles/pigtails are a little more complicated). A lot of Tacky or hot glue is involved from there (almost always on the scalp) and creative cutting. It generally keeps shape pretty well, although every now and the it needs some fluffing - especially when I store them in bags to keep the dust off. They all look kinda funny until some upside down time after that. Does that make sense?
(also - bonus points for 'COIF.'

Sometimes I think I exist just to bother you. Well, bother people in general, but particularly you. Is it "particularly" or "particularily"? Because the latter looks right and the former doesn't, but I can't spell to save my pathetic epic life. Along that line, Sir Gawain is pronounced "Gah-wain," not "Gah-win," right? Because I'm *not* going to kill my Brit lit class for pronunciation and torment of my soul. The Green Knight has done me in, and I shall be no more.

Nope, you exist to be mah friend.
Answers:
-It's particularly according the wonder known as spellcheck. It's true, I checked.
-Gah-wain (as in bruce wayne) is always how I've heard it. Are you suffering from classmates/teachers pronouncing things funny? Might I recommend chocolate as a potential rage suppressant? It soothes tormented souls too.

Your plushies are so cute. You should try making animals more though. I looked through your whole gallery but I never found a kitty I bet you'd do awesome. My favorite plushie that you made was the Gaara plushie, so cute.

Thanks! I actually made two puppy plushies once for my kid sister's friend. They turned out alright after a lot of trial and error, but I decided I should probably stick to people.

Your people look amazing. I messed about with some old fabrics I had, and my black and white thread and I created a plushie of my Role Play character, Blackstar. The only problem was I had no stuffing or clear thread so it turned out horrible. Keep up your wonderful work though!

Ah! I knew these looked familiar! I wouldn't allow myself near your table at A-kon because I knew I'd go home penniless if I got too close to your precious dolls! ^^ Now I keep asking myself why I had to be so frugal. T-T So awesome to see your dA page here. ^_^
