Primarily an observer and collector of the beauty shared here by others. Elsewhere, I am a writer who wields words as tools, weapons or even gifts. If tempted, I may be moved to open mental doors and windows upon vistas that have gone unnoticed before. We might differ a tad on the definition of "art," but I will be glad to read some of your writing (unquestionably another form of art--or craft, as some prefer). Thank you for the invite.

Oh, is this one not available?

somasae In reply to leothefox [2016-07-21 05:35:15 +0000 UTC]
It certainly is, but apparently the handful of brain cells I have left & have been overusing lately were not available when I initially asked you about this! I've never ordered commissions or bought art through DA, always through the artist directly, so---somasae was out to lunch?!? That's my story and I'm stickin' to it?? Thank Yoo! Oh, and by the way, did you know you have an engagement in September? A little birthday thang for EP. We're planning ahead and you're liable to get dragged into it--just so ya know...

I didn't remember whether I'd marked it for sale either,
so don't feel bad We can always do it directly too
Oooo birfday! Keep me posted on that!

It's taken care of now, but thank you. I checked out how they do it and it was simple enough EVEN for me! So excited now! Can't wait to have it in my grubby little paws! I kinda want to show it off, but will have to find just the right frame first. I'll let you know how it looks when I getz it. Yay me!

I was glad to hear that DA checks it out for quality before they ship, so yeah, I'm a bit psyched. (Rubs hands together excitedly!) You would think it was Christmas or something, gee whiz--lol.

Oh, wow, Leo... Christmas has arrived! I don't know if you've ever ordered DA prints before, or seen one of your own after DA had processed an order for you, but I have to give them credit. The print arrived in pristine condition--no wrinkles, bends, tears--nuthin' but smooth. The roll canister is super sturdy. The ends were taped. The print was carefully wrapped/rolled in protective paper. The print quality is well beyond the "good" end of the grading scale. If you hold it under an ordinary ceiling light you might find a few patches of inking that are heavier than others, which suggests this is due to a printer/inking thing, yet you have to actually look for that. It's not obvious, and when viewing it straight on, this one looks marvelous. I don't doubt that an inexpensive non-glare glass (in a frame) would prevent even the pickiest person from having something to complain about, and I mention this only because I wasn't sure how well DA could reproduce an artist's work, so I was checking every angle. But I am _truly_ impressed. Seeing it look great on a computer screen is one thing, but seeing it "for real" is even groovier! I am sooo looking forward to having this one framed. Can't hardly stand it--lol. Just thought you might like to know...

Oooo yay it arrived! I haven't gotten too many
things as prints (a friend used to order pics for me from my
wishlist), but I've always gotten a kick out of seeing my art
printed out I'm really glad the print turned out well for
you I did that one so long ago I worried whether the
resolution would be good enough to have as a print, actually

You are very welcome. Meant every word and my brain is still itching, trying to think of good ways to increase exposure for your art--and I am not an agent, not even close! Guess that's just a sign of how inspiring your work is. Actually...was kinda wondering though if you'd ever tried...okay, okay. I'll stop. None of my beeswax, I know. Take care!

Really? Is that a real really or a SEARS really? (fondly remembering Frank Zappa.)
Oh, Leo--it's soooo tempting--lol. But sure, I could share an idea or two iffen you're feeling brave. EP might warn you to run for the hills, so I'll give her the chance to do that, and give you time for a head start... If you're still around in a day or two, then you might hear a little more from me.

Great! I'm on it.
Btw...please feel free to lower your tray and enjoy the in-house movie or the old Perry Mason reruns during the first leg of our journey. The lovely and beautifully mannered Silver (courtesy of sci-fi author Tanith Lee), will be your personal attendant. Drinks and hors-d'oeuvres are gratis. Dinner and desert menus will follow. Please be sure to take a peep as we soar at 35k feet over New Zealand; the view is particularly breathtaking this time of year. You might even catch a glimpse of the Uber Cool Alpaca who is hoping to be noticed and asked to possibly model for you in one of your future artworks. (I promised I'd put in a word; hope you don't mind... )
Enough blarney for now. I'll be in touch.
