YESS! 

The HD Collection is poorly made filled with bugs the originals didn't have but it's way better than nothing! So please donut judge the games based on bugs and poor voice acting because they changed all that, just focus on the story and puzzles etc xD

2 it the fan favorite so I think you'll enjoy that a lot However my favorite is 3 because the original is just perfect in every aspect possible

I think the reason why the first one isn't there is because it was originally released on the ps1 and the graphics are worse than the sims 1 in some ways. It's a very good game and I doubt it would have been made justice if someone tried to rebuild it…

Though I highly recommend you watching a let's play of it before you play 3 because it's a direct sequel story-wise. Also if there is something you don't understand about the amazing story or just want to know more about the games then watch The Real Silent Hill Experience on youtube by TwinPerfect (they are awesome) who really tries to explain it all.

Bugs and glitches? Well.....that was $30.00 well spent. lol I looked online for reviews and heard, generally good things. I would have bought the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation versions, but the HD was more convenient. Plus, I do not have my PlayStation 2 with me. I still might buy the original someday, though. You are right; the collection is better than nothing!

I have heard good things about both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, and I cannot wait to start them!

That's a good reason. I don't know much about porting games; so, maybe it is best that it stayed on the PlayStation. I will still try to play it one day.

Normally, I would avoid looking at a let's play before I start the game so that I do not spoil anything for me. However, I will probably take up your suggestion since you know more about the Silent Hill series than I do. Thank you very much! I will check out TwinPerfect.

I recommend the originals but it seems like it would be a waste of perfectly good money to buy both even if the games are very different. I'll leave it to the gentlemen at TwinPerfect to explain though

The best would be if someone would just rebuild the game from scratch exactly as it is but with better graphics but it would be nearly impossible get an (in lacking of better word) unedited version of the game, even if it were the original creators who would do it…. The ps1 charm is beautiful though xD

The thing is Silent Hill is a series who shows you rather than tell you. In SH3 they quickly tell you during a car scene what happened in the first game so you will get spoiled anyway. However if you watch the first one then you can get familiar with characters who will appear in the third game where the character explores the town based on what Harry did in the first game and go in to detail about a character in the first game that only will make a little sense compared to know the full story. But I also think that experiencing the first game by yourself i much more fun and meaningful than just watching a let's play! And if you don't want spoilers then don't watch the TwinPerfect videos until you beat the game. Or you can just skip the let's play and let them explain the first game. xD

I don't really have that many good memories with her and the ones I have are overshadowed by the bad. Our relationship was at some few times really good and at many more times really bad. I had just made up with her before she died which is a really weird feeling. Also my father has started his manipulating techniques on me again to get me alone with my grandfather who keeps talking about how he doesn't have anything to live for except for his dog and a few projects. I forgive him considering the circumstances but it just doesn't feel safe…

That's true. Either way, I'll check out TwinPerfect and will play the game to see how things turn out.

That's a good idea, but ports can be good as well. For example, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was successfully ported to the GameCube with great graphics, controls, and no bugs/glitches. I don't know what happened with the HD Collection for Silent Hill. The PlayStation has a certain charm, with its opening screen and Anime cutscenes (for certain games).

That sounds pretty cool! I love when games make you explore instead of telling you everything. Plus, the horror atmosphere of Silent Hill intrigues me. I saw the review, but did not watch since since it is two hours long. Honestly, since I start school soon and won't have time for games, I'll probably play as much Silent Hill as I can. Afterwards, I'll watch TwinPerfect to update myself.

Oh. I am very sorry. Sometimes, that happens, but this might be the time to let go of the bad memories. I was the same way with a teacher that I had. I hated having her, and when I graduated, I never kept in contact with her. Then she died in 2010, and I felt weird. While I am still frustrated with what she did, I let go of the bad feelings. On the bright side, at least you made up with her. You might feel worse if you had not. I understand with how you feel. My dad tries the same things with me so that I will like his girlfriends better. If you don't feel safe, then you should say something (assuming that you have not before). Will talking on the phone help? I'm sorry for bad advice!

AFter doing some research for the HD Collection, I've found out that the only code available for the remake was an unfinished copy of the original product since both games are old. If the original Silent Hill had been involved, then I would imagine that the remake would have even more problems. Plus, Hijinx Studios, the company that made the remake, have only made two console games. FInally, the game was rushed. Needless to say, this causes some problems. lol Having

Having said that, I have played some of Silent Hill 2, and I am at the Wood Side apartments. I am loving the game so far, and I have not noticed any glitches, but I have not played the originals either.

I'll watch what I need to so that I can catch up on some things. Once again, thanks for the tip!

Sometimes, the personality of a person changes when he or she becomes older. When my mom died in 2011, I went to Texas for her funeral and to visit some family. I was having lunch with my grandpa, who said some very inappropriate things, when he normally would not have. I don't know the entire situation, but I am sure that your grandpa is sad. Plus, I am sure that his Aspergers is involved.

I haven't solved the clock puzzle yet. I just arrived at the apartments, and the last thing that I did was find a flashlight. The part when the mannequin started attacking after finding the flashlight surprised me, even though I was expecting it. lol
