Any diss ideas springing forth? It's really tough deciding what to write on! I kept wanting to change my mind, as extra ideas popped up I'm currently in the throes of terror, as I've been asked to write an article for a literary publication, and I am having the fear of what I should write it on

We got a boy puppy - originally my Ma wanted a girl puppy to be a little sister for the one-year-old boy dog (Dante) we already have, but sadly only 6 of the litter of 8 which we were getting our puppy from survived, and the 2 left were boys. We've always gotten dogs from this breeders, and we'd been waiting for a new puppy for roughly a year because they'd been having trouble with pregnancies, so we decided to go for a boy doggie We were very glad we did, as new puppy Boz (named after Dickens's pen-name, to keep the literary name theme alive) is adorable, although he has totally not gotten the hang of house training!

How is third year going? Not long until Christmas hols at least

Hahaha, it's something called the baroreflex reset. It's to do with blood pressure. I tell you now though, if you stop your exercise straight away and walk off then you will pass out that's why it is important to cool down!
And no actually! I was accepted on to a masters course, so now I am doing that! (Exercise Rehab whoooooo!). I do have a weekend job though so I can afford to eat!

WHAT ON EARTH?! Ouch :/ that actually made my toes curl up! I have bad circulation in my hands and feet, so even sitting at my desk right now they are cold, and always feel freezing to those who touch my hands XD so yeah, I wouldn't go back to that unless you're really really desperate and they supply you with heated boots or something!!! What were the tickets for if you don't mind me asking?
And wow! Good stuff At least you have an idea on what you would like to do! Best of luck for the PhD! I hope you get it! I would love to do one simply so I can be called Doctor XD However, in my academic area it means I would have to spend 3 years completing goodness knows how many research projects. I have to do one this year as part of my masters which I am not looking forward to. I would rather do a dissertation again instead of being responsible for a group of participants!

Graduation was good thank you! Yes I got to wear the hat and cape! XD I pretended I was SUPER GRAD!!! The hat was utterly annoying though, it kept falling off my head too or the tassle got in my eyes!! You had to stand there whilst these gown hire people dressed you in the hat and gown... I felt ridiculous! XD

So.... how are you? Besides the part-time editing, job hunting and PhD thinking? How are your dogs?!

Wow, glad I've got that tip from you - warming down = important! Although I don't really do any exercise.. I really should, it's good for later life. So glad you got onto your masters course How are you finding it? And what are you doing for a weekend job? Shweet.

I know, my circulation sucks. I haven't gone back to my previous job, I want to keep my toes! They're lots better this year, which is probably partly because the weather isn't so epicly cold, and partly because I'm not outside working. The tickets were for the Santa's grotto and ice rink that were put up over Christmas. It was actually quite a fun job (minus the cold).

Cheers I'm applying for funding again soon, so fingers crossed. I'm totally going for it so I can be called the Doctor Yep, it's between 3 and 4 more years for me too. I'll be ancient before I finally get a job, but given the luck some of my friends are having in the recession, it could be that way regardless :/ Any idea what you'll do for your project this year?

I'm golden ta, loads on my plate as usual! I have a friend visiting today, and then I'm going to Bath with another friend tomorrow. Plus I'm sorting out my PhD application, volunteering in a museum, doing archive work, helping to curate an exhibit and putting together a paper for a conference. Tis the season! Our dogs are great, nuttier than ever Boz's two brain cells keep bouncing about in his bonce, and Dante is even more schemetastic than usual. How are you? Merry Christmas ^^

Not really no! I've photocopied some research papers to read before my meeting with my tutor tomorrow... hopefully he will help me get started with it!
Oh wow! Congrats! That sounds like a very exciting yet scary opportunity! I'm sure you will think of something! Maybe about your new dog?

I'm sad to hear about the litter poor puppies and doggie parents. I am glad that some survived though and you now have a new addition to your family! I can't remember if you said you were getting a lab (sorry lol! brain like a sieve) but if so what colour? I really want a chocolate lab when I get my own place, but hear they are really hyper!!! I like the name Boz! bless him I hope he gets the hang of it soon, for your's and his sake!!!

Yeah not long to go til xmas at all!!! 3rd year is ok, I am enjoying lectures alot more than last year! The lecturers who have actually done research in the module areas are teaching them this year! Some of them are quite interesting, but most the time I still start to lose focus and battle to not fall asleep!!!

Sorry for the late reply, I truly suck at keeping up with messages! How did your dissertation meeting go? Have you any more defined an idea of what your topic will be?

We got a golden retriever, and he is mental! He's getting on supremely well with his big bro (also a golden retriever), although I think on occassion big bro would like a bit of peace and quiet. Chocolate labs are so sweet, do you know what you'd name yours?

Haha, lectures are a constant battle for awakeness. The real kiss of death is when they lower the lights to put up an OHP slide or something. I've not been up to much - I've got a part-time job working on an information desk in a shopping mall, which has taken up the majority of my waking hours! Getting excited for Christmas though, as they keep playing Christmassy music at work x)

Glad that diss is all done! Why DON'T humans pass out during exercise?? I think I'll pretend that they do, so that I have a legitimate excuse to continue not bothering. Have you been on the dreaded job hunt?

Might be going back to my Crimbo job this year but I'm hesitant, because last year it was so cold (as it was an outdoor job in a ticket selling shed) that I nearly lost my toes. Yep, seriously. They went black and everything. Might give it a miss. I've been doing a little editing part-time, and am also looking at being an archivist, an academic librarian, or (pipe-dream for next year) the beloved PhD.

How's it going? How was graduation? Did you get to wear the flappy cape of doom and the really heavy hat? Mine was way too large and nearly fell off my head. It would probably have decapitated the little old dear I was loitering by :/
