What does it do to your pic? What form do you save the work? What PS do you use?

It crashes upon trying to save sometimes, so the temporary file is destroyed. any format, and CS5

How often do you save? I mean, do you work with 100 layers without saving and then try to save? I think I've never faced a problem like that.. My cs5 crashes sometimes when I save, but luckily for me not very often. But that sounds like memory problem, so is there anything else eating up your computer memory?

Nah, my computers actually pretty beast. six core processor, 16 GB ram, about 5 tb of hard drive space, it's really pretty dumb for the application to EVER freeze in this condition. and I only work with like 16 layers max o.o but i save when i finish a certain point, I guess I should get in the habit of saving much more often.

Here is what I thought, just throwing things in the air,
you might already have thought about these long time ago..
1. The CS5 eats up your memory without releasing it? (happens sometimes with games, annoying as hell -___-)
2. Could it be that CS5 is trying to remember everything you've ever done? I donno if you can choose how many moves the history palet saves (window -> history)
3. Your OS doesn't recognice all the memory and processor cores?

nah, I've searched all the normal means of failure. this one's just... dying.
I'm going to reinstall cs5 and see if that helps any.
