Hmm... I did a painting the other week that's kinda psychedelic...in that it's pointlessy colourful... in my mind psychedelic and colour go hand in had.. in fact psychedelic to me is the postmodern illegitimate love child of colour and surrealism.... I think...

It always helps me when I just put my ipod on shuffle and go into a different room and relax. maybe watch some tv and look at art on DA. alot of my stuff is inspired by things I've seen here. Maybe you should check out some off the Daily deviations.

Idk if I'm more skilled than you are but I actually dont mind at all. I have more of a "be nice to n00bs" mentality. I've always taught myself for the most part but I think that watching other artists, opening yourself up to other art forms and sometimes taking classes in styles you've never tried before (especially ones that are challenging) help a lot. The one problem that my friends always have is that they'll have I certain thing that they're terrible at, like drawing hands, so they'll always draw a picture so that you can't see the characters hands, but I think it's always better to keep trying to draw it till you perfect it. (I used to suck at hands)

i'd missed the starting gun, and this is my most recent account(:
and im refreshed to know that you aren't really angry or annoyed with me at asking questions and whatnot.
ive actually recently finished a dA ID and im in the works of uploading it, i tried to focus on realism for it, somewhat like how you do with your art (which i adore, its cute and realistic) in fact i took to heart what you said earlier about finding inspiration and whatnot and so i got a sketch out of it.

Its only got one piece of work on it though.
and it was a quick doodle on SAI, when i had a tablet but now Im on paper. haha
and i had a major artist block today :'/ and i still dont know when ill be able to upload it. blah D: probably tomorrow night im gonna go stay wiht firends for a day.

haha thanks, and I borrowed it from a friend :'/ though i went with her to get it.
It was about 200$ I believe that or 190$ oh and it was a wacom bamboo tablet(:
mostly anything by Wacom is good, I highly recommend a tablet (in case you have never used one, though i doubt that you havent) and if you do get a tablet, I can help you get Paint Tool SAI for free, which is what i made that art on my old account on. (;

I know I always see people on Deviantart talking about them. I have a Udraw at home for the wii I need to start using that more often so I can at least get more used to using something like that to draw and programs like that to color
