Твоя техника, конечно, идет в гору, идеи шикарные и их реализация восхищает. Но имея представление о реальных работах, невозможно полностью оценить новые по маленьким фотографиям.

First, there is nothing bad in folding models that were created by others.
Every time I make it (not very often), I make a comment that it is made on the basis of the model of such or such origamist (in my gallery it is Riksha by Nicolas Terry and Devils by Maekawa). Indeed, Bird with book is on the basis of Roman Diaz work. I apologize if it wasn't added in comments, because I had a big problem with uploading photos - Internet in India is far from being a good one
Second, I sleep very well at night - hash is really good here and nature is really beautiful and silent...
Third, and the most important thing, there are many stupid guys pointing their fingers at you, and I don't wish at all to waste my energy to show them their mistakes.
My personal wish to you: spend your time not to intellectual masturbation but to make your origami alive and able to find the way to the hearts of others. I hope in this case your origami will become daily deviation.
Soon I am going to upload the photos of new works inspired by India. I will be glad if you send me your point of view about them.
With time you possibly will understand that any art is enough in itself and doesn't need anyone to give anything to it. We just perceive and make the things that exist for a long long time. But this understanding is a question of time. And time is timeless

Geez .. It's been a long time since I came here, I am sad to see you're wasting your great folding skills for plagiarism, again... Now you did one of Roman Diaz. And you will be doing an exhibitit in Belarus.

See, I do create original pieces of origami (not the old ones on my dA account) and the pleasure I get when I manage to fold something I created all alone is the only thing that keeps me going.
I don't care if I can sell them or not, it's better when I manage to, but this rush of adrenaline I get by exploring paths that haven't been explored is the best thing of all.

I wonder if you sleep easily at night, I know I wouldn't if I knew I was using someone else's work in order to make "my way" in Origami.

You fold for some time, origami has probably given you much, what have you ever given to it ? You stole much, and not only others work.

Still, if you think I'm completely wrong, there is an easy way for you to prove me I've been. Take pictures of different steps in your "creative" process for litigeous foldings. Fold the and take pictures while you are doing it.

I don't know why I am wasting my time here, I feel sad for you, you wasted your talent for nothing, for an exhibit in Belarus ?
But if you feel fine with that, don't answer me, ignore me and keep doing your stuff, I will just make sure you won't be getting a daily deviation for any of the works you've stolen.

and I at war with Master Joisel
(Could you say how add moods here?)

sergey-oriart [2007-03-17 06:44:48 +0000 UTC]

Dear ,
I must admit that to some extent I felt flattered with such comparisons.
But at the same time it is a pity that there exist so much intellectual greed and intellectual automanipulation (instead of spending this time to give pleasure to others with our new own works).
To the point of your message. Every time when I used someone’s pattern or diagram, I wrote about it clearly, and in most cases I spoke to the authors before presenting my variation elsewhere (But for me the diagram in origami is like an instrument in music. I don’t strive for technique of super-complex origami. What I am looking for is to touch the hearts, the souls of people around me. Mathematics in origami is instrument in music for me. )
I haven’t used diagrams or patterns by Eric Joisel, I don’t know about his technique secrets. I am sure that Joisel’s technique is completely different. I am not interested in espionage, because I spent and I spending too much time to develop my own technique. I devoted five years to be able to do what you can see here. I hold Mr. Joisel in high respect, but my models are mine, and his models are his.
And one interesting question: why, for instance, if Robert Lang and Kamiya Satoshi when they are folding a rhinoceros beetle, and name the model similarly, don’t write to each other (or to other artists, as it is the case now, because the message on Deviantart isn’t the full story) – “you are a plagiarist”? If one photographer takes a photo of a sunset, why doesn’t he claim the right to all the photos of sunset?
All my works are a reflection of my feelings and my state when I am listening to the music, when I am looking around me and watching the world go by… I just want to share it with others. I would like to think Mr. Joisel does the same.

evadcire [2007-03-16 17:14:15 +0000 UTC]

It's surprising and disappointing that many of the images displayed here
show that this artist has taken his inspiration, subject matter, and
apparently the folding techniques directly from the original work of Eric
Joisel, without any acknowledgement, permission, or most importantly without the
least respect for the original artist, Eric Joisel.

The appearance of these images is particularly disappointing, as in other
cases, acknowledgement has been made to other origami artists' work ( eg Jun
Maekawa's devil see
[link]
and [link] ,) even though
the Deviantart image here bears much smaller resemblance to the original
piece by the original artist.

Eric Joisel is a professional orgami artist, relying on sale of his work for
his livelihood. He has not given permission for reproductions of his work to
be sold or displayed, and it is most unlikely that he would give such
permission. Eric Joisel's official website is
[link] .

As you know Deviantart seeks to respect the intellectual property of
artists (see [link] ). If the images
based on Eric Joisel's original work are not removed, a formal complaint of
copyright violation will be made to the authorities at Deviantart in
accordance with their terms and conditions.
