I think "Das Boat" IS the classic submariner's film...there have been many try-hards "U-571"?, "Crimson Tide" more recently years but IMHO it stands tall among the classics of warfare on the sea.
"The Cruel Sea", "In Which We Serve", are my picks for surface warfare.

Well so many movies, agree I loved it, played the game on my old commodore 64 till I got blister on by thumb from the joystick! Thanks for the reply! cheers
