Its true that few photographers take shots of men as well as women, but these men, whenever naked are usually ultra-toned model-perfect images which insults me as a fat internet hacker with nothing but doritos as my companion. You call it art but I there is an obvious bias in your models (from what Ive seen, obviously I could be completely wrong) and in almost any nude photography of men Ive ever seen. It feels like a sell-out shot if you pretened to make us think yet the model is just another piece of picture-perfect eye-candy.

Of course I use good looking male models. Why wouldn't I? The same is true for nearly all photos of nude women: with a few exceptions, most photographers prefer to photograph slender good-looking women. And when shooting men, I prefer to photograph in-shape good-looking men. When doing fine art nudes, the model is one of the elements of the photo (along with lighting, composition, setting, etc). In fact, most people think the model is the PRIMARY element of this type of photo. If I am going to go to the effort of careful composition, trying to create the most interesting lighting I can, and so on, I am also going to try to find the best models I can. I fail to see why you feel that is insulting, or why that is a bad thing in any way.

Well I dont want to accuse you of anything. Thats just my view on it. I dont mind if you have another.
Personally I believe that if art is trying to open our eyes to something new then perhaps we can give up this hollywood, glossy, sterile *effing* reality we create and when I get the chance to photograph male nudes I will do just that. You do your thing however you want, Im sorry if I seemed pushy or insulting, I probably did try and make it seem bad but right now I think I'll do what I feel is right and leave you out of it.
Personally Im sick of all the 'perfect' images of ourselves. I find it something close to vanity. We don't want to accept that there are people around us that don't conform to our standards of beauty and I would really like to see something more real than what I see as the general perception. That is, people less better-looking according to the media are somehow less worth our time, where they have no choice over their appearance. I dont think Im misinterpreting your piece. I doubt it was your intention to make some kind of social commentary, I just feel that art is something more than perfection. Art is the imperfection that can really make us think and consider our reality.

with the prominence of females in nude photography its nice to find such an incredible gallery of male nudes...its takes alot of bravery to display your work in a place where male nudes usually go unappreciated and frowned upon...
