I'm assuming you're sending this message because you saw Invoking's journal, so I'm going to give you the same explanation I'm giving him concerning %WritersInk 's rules.
The fifteen group rule is designed the way it is because we can't check every deviation at every point of its existence. Admittedly, there are easy ways around the rule, but by limiting the number of groups we accept, we try to make the deviant think about who they're submitting to and hope that they'll keep the number of groups the deviation is in low. Ultimately, we want all the literature in our gallery to be in under fifteen groups, but we know that this is unrealistic to monitor, so that's why the rule works the way it does.
Secondly, the type of community we encourage is one where deviants contribute both by sharing their art and reading the art of others, commenting on it, and fostering artistic growth. This takes a lot of commitment, and 15 groups is about the maximum where that type of involvement is possible. This more personal friendship and encouragement is the type of community that WritersInk is centered on, rather than a broad approach that other groups might take.
Please keep in mind that these situations are largely meant to stay between the group and the deviant directly involved, and while both perspectives are valid, it's important to understand both before taking a side.
