What got you interested in Poland (only Hetalia? To be honest, Poland isn't a popular country like e.g. France or Italy)?

Yeah, I'm teaching myself Polish! The genders and verb conjugations are very hard for a native English speaker such as myself, but I continue to learn because I find it a very detailed, interesting, and pleasing-to-the-ear language and because I'm just a huge admirer of Poland in general
It wasn't Hetalia that originally got me interested in Poland, actually. I'm one of those people who's liked history and foreign culture from a young age, and something about Poland caught my eye and mesmerised me. The same happened with the Nordic countries (mainly Sweden and Denmark). So when I found about Hetalia, I thought it sounded too good to be true. I can show my love of the landmasses I had fallen in love with by drawing fanart of them as people...? Nah, can't be true. But alas, here I am trying my best to make this very fanart.
Sorry if that was confusing, I have a tendency to write a lot when I meet new people.

I see, in Polish language the grammar is very complex - it must be difficult for a foreigners.
Speakers of other languages say that Polish sounds like leaves rustling, with all the shh sounds or like noise between radio stations when you tune up (all Poles are from slytherin xD)
I'm also teaching myself foreign language - Italian. Listening to the radio is a great way to learn. I also like sites like duolingo and memrise.
Yeah, history is fascinating but it's very sad and terrible that there are so many lies about Polish history e.g. a Polish concentration camp or polish are anti semitic. By the way I love Hetalia too

You're right, the grammar is a bitch. I agree, Polish does sound like leaves. It's a very calming language in my opinion, I love listening to people speak it. It soothes me.
Oh, Italian sounds cool! I will probably never try to learn it but I have a friend who is learning it - she says it's very 'ecstatic' and fun to learn. And hey, I've never met somebody else who uses Memrise! 
Yeah, I have heard many horrible jokes and lies about Polish history. It really makes me mad that people say such insensitive and cruel things about it. :/

How are your studies going (of course I mean foreign languages)?
Yeah, Memrise is a great site. So many courses. Especially I like the ones with audio.
Italian is very easy in pronunciaton (similiar to Polish), German isn't that easy but not too hard but English pronunciaton is crazy xD
English speakers sound like they had their mouth full of noodles all the time xD

It's okay!! As you can tell, I'm not very active either. My studies are going pretty great, thank you! Though I have been focusing on Danish a bit more recently, I am still putting in effort to Polish.
My favourite thing about Memrise is how it gives you ways to remember the pronunciation. It is very handy.
Haha, well I think Polish speakers have some kind of superhuman ability with their tongue. You guys can just roll off those s's, z's, and accents like it's nothing... I'm so jealous lol.
