Why do you bother? If you believe that your art is below everyone else's then you might as well stop drawing altogether. The attitude of the artist influences the art itself. If one puts their heart into it and doesn't think it sucks, then it's a good work of art.

Just because an artist may have a low assessment of their own skill is no justification for having them cease to draw. Even if a person is disappointed in what they create, they do so not always for the end result, but to express themselves. Art is an expression of creativity, and any artist - despite how they may view themselves - will always continue to create out of a NEED to. To tell an artist to stop drawing is the same as telling them to stop breathing... and then still expect them to live. It isnt possible. I agree, attitude influences result... But an artist may still put all their heart into a piece and not be satisfied with it, but it can still be magnificent in the eyes of another. It can STILL be a good piece of art even if the artist isnt happy with it. Just maybe... not to the artist. So they try again. Attitude may influence, but it does not DICTATE. An attitude cannot make art "suck".
A friend is a person who will stick by you through it all⦠Who will make you laugh when you are sad, who will talk to you when you are lonely, spend time with you because they care for you, defend you when you are attacked. Would you end all that over an attitude they have about an aspect of themselves? Disregard all the love and empathy? It seems ridiculous and trivial... You try to boost their confidence, try to help them as they've helped you... And if nothing can be done? You accept them for the wonderful friend they are, "flaws" and all.
