You're welcome Unfortunately ain't able to spend much time here anymore, too busy after i bought myself a house. A lot of maintenance, but this weekend i hope i can do some shots somewhere, i just wonder where to start. There's something i guess most of us photographers, amateurs, emthusiastics, pros, and so on forgets is that the view you may got around in your neighbourhood may look different and much more rare to someone who don't live there. Such as me from, well, you just check my profile and you'll see that To me all these fjords and wild seashores are quite normal for me to see, but to those who live in the middle of nowhere, Kazhakstan for instance, (or however you write in in english, that country doesn't have any of these fjords we got here and for those who live there, the nature in north-western europe can be quite unique and beautiful to watch What about you? What's your favourites to shoot?

Me too. Even i know there are many people who has experienced even worse than as long as it is the worst experience i've been through myself then it feels like hell going on. anyway, as soon as i get my wife home then maybe some of the burden fall off my shoulders Just wondered, are you the model on all your work? And how are you able to position your camera in all those different angles? Or you just use a tripod with a "bow" that you can adjust to closer/further away from object?

Berre hyggelig Trur ej likegodt bruka dialekt her sida det blir meir identitetsbærende enn bokmål når ej kjem fra nordvestlandet bruka du mykje tid på fotografering? Forresten, Roy her

Grubleren In reply to royulve [2010-03-06 11:18:16 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, i also heard words about this place from a couple of my friends. When it comes to photos, what kind of equipment do you use? An advice, as long as you're not going proffesional, then just buy equipment second hand. Except from a Nikon D40X and a Nikon Coolpix E7900, then my cameras are second hand bought. Not my lenses though since the lenses are the true reason why the pics becomes as they appears

BeautyLiesInTheHeart In reply to royulve [2010-01-17 15:15:03 +0000 UTC]

Ehh, I use pencil and paper for pictures sometimes and for writing (something I LOVE to do), and then a Sony Cybershot for photos and such. I don't know much about photography, nor am I much of one, but I get better if I ever get photoshop and/or GIMP. I'm still learning.

My brother and I also use my camera for videos that I love to edit (another hobby of mine).

Video? Hehe, i was really into video before but it turned over to photography as the years went by, and now i'm totally addicted to taking photos Specially i love macro, but that's only preferable during summer i guess when all the insects are crawling up from their hideouts. If you take a look at my gallery you should be able to see a Vanessa Atalanta, a butterfly that i shot with a macrolens. I really love that photo! I hope i one day can afford to develop that picture in a size of 30" x 40". Maybe develop to try selling it to people around here? Art is NOT included in the tax-system here in Norway so if you are able to get a $400-500 then you still can keep it all without paying anything back to the goverment The same when it comes to drawings, paintings, etc. As long as it is limited editions of course and not mass production.

I hope one day i can afford to get Photoshop CS4, now I only got a copy from a friend of mine. Unfortunately not a legal version, but if ever i should be able to try it out, that was the only choice i had.

Yup! I'd like to get a high quaility video camera in the future, but what I have works just as well.

That sound really pretty! I'll have to take a look later! -nervous laughter- I don't know much about cameras at all, really. I used to have a poleroid that took AA batteries. Fail camera. -.- I like my CyberShot better. Much better.

Really?? Lucky... -_- Not in the USA it isn't. -sigh- I don't think...

Yeah, I want that too! I don't even have an illegal version.

I just took a look at prices for Photoshop CS4 for windows XP and later versions. Well, it's not as expensive as i thought but gosh! paying $840 is out of question at this time. first i guess i need a new computer and a new flashgun. I guess i could buy CS4 a bit cheaper in the Philippines where i'm actually from, but since i'm not a citizen of the Philippines then it's a bit difficult to stay there for a longer time than 3 weeks. And as you know, travelling more than 10.000 miles can be quite expensive. More like $2100 in US Dollars. I'm just getting these numbers by the exchange rate between USD and Norwegian Kroner (NOK).

What kind of videocam do you prefer? I will suggest you to pick either Canon or Sony when it comes to video. In my case i guess i will need a videocam myself pretty soon since my wife, who's in the Philippines, i went back there and found my wife there, when she gets here i'm sure we sooner or later will have our own family, and besides, it will always be nice to collect our memories on video about our kid(s)

Well, gotta go now, i gonna wake up early tomorrow and now it's 10:20pm here. Take care and have a nice week to come I might text you here tomorrow when i get back at this time of the day, i mean at 10:20pm. Take care Btw, my name is Roy, quite easy for an american citizen to pronounce i guess

You're welcome What i've experienced, younger photographers has a lot of potential to develop themselves within photography. Since you're by the time a quite young photographer then i am quite sure your shots will just get better and better Besides, I love to help people on their way to become better photographers by giving hints about tricks and so on. A good advice for you, i recommend you to buy some books of "Scott Kelby", these books are named "Digital Photography" in English and there is a total number of 3 books at the time. Number 1 and 2 can be found as merged together into one A couple of books that becomes handy for both amateurs and more enthusiastic photographers
