I think we are all different,and it all depends on how much time we have to practice.Also I think there's 2 types of artists. 
-The artist who have always had the skills and just needed some excerise do get better.
The artist who has the potential but needs to work reallt hard to get better.
-The artist who,no matter how hard he/she tries,he/she won't improve cause he/she doesnt have potential.
That's how I see it considering I go to an art/fashion school.
I have classmates who have the potential but don't put any effort.There's classmates whose work is super amazing but they work really hard on it,and there's classmates who work really hard but in 4 yrs their worked hasnt improved a bit XD
But still,practice makes perfect.I think it's useless to try to learn who to draw manga.cause everything,every style comes from the basic rules of anatomy,perspective and blahblah.
I think the best thing to do to improve,is to try to learn anatomy rules.Once you learn all those rules it becomes all easier.

i agree with you, you've summed it all up in this comment.
And it's sad how some people, no matter how hard they try, are slow to improve due to the lack of talent.
And yers, manga art is not that hard considering it all comes down to anatomy as you said,
but i've sort of got out of all that manga/anime fandom and i want to change to a more realistic style.
The main thing i have problems with is coloring. I never know which color or shade to use, it always looks way more vivid in my mind, and some people have it naturaly..
I'm telling you this because i admire your way of colorng and your art has color shemes that go so well with eash other, whats your secret?? OTL

I've changed my style to a slightly more realistic style too.I've realised that manga style can vary but it's all pretty much the same.I noticed that with my old style,all characters looked the same,they all had the same faces and it looked like I just copy that face on a new canvas and draw different hair on the head.
I think color schemes depend on your style.For example if you have a shoujo manga style,it comes natural to use pinks,yellows and all pastel colors with some bright colors too.
I think the key to good coloring is to practice from real life.
Try to copy and then color some leaves,houses,even people,you'll notice that skin shades are infinite,that it doesn't only have pinks or oranges or yellows,it also has purple,blue and green.
Leafs are green but when u shade them green is not always what u use,u can use blue insted and yellow for the highlights.
Or blonde hair.Most people would shade it with a different shade of yellow or orange,but in real life its shades are green and purple.
There's no right way to color.It all depends on how you want the final result to look or if you have a certain atmosphere in mind.I think it's obvious that if you want to portrait a cheerful scene you won't use black and dark purples XD
