# About me
I began using and making clay miniatures purely as a hobby to try and relax after a hard days work (I am a full time artist and lecturer). When my daughter and sons friends saw the little pieces they loved them and so I began to add them to jewelry for them to wear. Then I was asked to sell some of my pieces on a stall for a charity event and to my delight and utter surprise they were an instant hit. I started to get orders for custom pieces and before i knew it the whole thing had totally snowballed!Then a friend introduced me to Etsy and i decided to give it a go, so I opened my own little shop NeatEats and it is doing better than i could ever have imagined.
Mind you, so much for a relaxing hobby as I now work, on average, 18 - 20 hour days, but I love it!!

i guessed from all the Irish bits and your name that you were Irish and it turns out I was right.. My dads dad moved here from Ireland and so I though it was pretty cool to find out that you're in/from Ireland

I only have one gorgeous doll she is a pullip called naomi! Ungfortunately during a session in my studio she managed to lose a hand which was never found! If you know of anyone who supplies hands for these type of dolls please let me know. I have tried the main pullip suppliers but they seem to only have heads or torsos but im sure you must be able to buy hands somewhere!

Your miniatures are amazing! I can't stop looking at all of them but I promise I will buy a ring when I can muster up the strength to pick one. I would love to see more on the creative process and what materials you use to do this- is this your profession? Love your work!

I am actually a full time fine artist and i also lecture but i got into making miniatures as a hobby, which has now taken up all of my spare time! I love to use polymer clay so that is what they are made form. Thank you for your kind comments xxx

All ideas are more than welcome! I had thought of doing some Zelda and i can make any games into the necklaces that look like the game covers (I have them made up as skyrim at the minute) By friendship necklaces i take it you mean like one peanut butter and one grape jelly for example? Im from Ireland and it is a big learning curve fro me to see what is popular over the rest of the world. Thanks again for your your input i really appreciated it xxx
