The best way to shoot that is panning. Focus on the bird and move the camera at the rate it is flying. Focus and timing are the toughest parts. The other option is to get a camera that does very good high speed or action shots. Then you set focus for the spot and simply wait until the bird flies into the viewer. Usually takes coordinating two eyes, one on the bird and one on the viewer. It really is possible.
