THANK YOU for your comment on part three of my colour pencil tutorial (which, I just deleted, to integrate that part in with the first two)... I know what you mean about testing out a lot of techniques. My process is constantly changing as I add little bits and pieces and drop others. Aside from just practicing, I don't think there's any way to improve without trying new techniques, so it's all good, even if they don't work. xD

aww, thanks ^^ i just started getting into traditional painting about a year and a half ago... it's fun and pretty relaxing too ^_^
your work HAS gotten better though! i really like the new portraits especially
i'm excited to graduate! i was hoping to go to Japan to teach English for a year and practice art and japanese, but... i didn't get accepted into the program i tried out for and I realized i probably wouldn't make much of a good teacher anyway
anyway, it's disappointing, but i'm starting to interview for illustration jobs now, and there's a big industry night before graduation where I'll get to meet a lot of employers, so I hope i can make money and pay back my school loans soon
how about you? are you looking to get a job in art? or did you find another field that interests you?

uhmmm me.. im currently working in an architectural company as a photoshop artist, and im also learning 3D there too. (my office mates and older bro is teaching me )
but i haven't graduated my college degree though. ( financial probs )

hai! i've been learning for the past few years, just mostly on my own, but I'm only on the intermediate level for classes. i just wanna try going over there for a while to have a lot of practice ^^ anyway, you're right, I'm sure there will be another way to get there ^_^ one day...
it's really cool you're in architecture and learning 3D programs!! You can learn a lot from school, but a lot of people actually really waste their time because they don't try to learn anything outside of school. so it's great you're learning so much on your own ^^
I learned a little 3ds max a few years ago but i forgot everything
