It's obvious that Dave is really fucking cool. He jeers at John's inability to set up his Sylladex's Fetch Modus when John asks him for help and berates John's interests constantly. Dave is much more skilled than the other three characters, who either through their own cluelessness, admission, or silliness are less capable than he is. Through the conversations of Pesterchum and his own introduction, Dave already has his Strife Specibus set and he has one of the most advanced Sylladices available, giving him a huge advantage over the other three characters. Jade may be able to maximize the use of her Sylladex due to her precognitive abilities, but under normal circumstances it'd be close to entirely useless.
His incredible coolness also enables him to stay level-headed when dealing with supernatural things, (like Sburb) incredible things (like Meteors or Time Travel), or generally disconcerting things (like seeing his own corpse or talking about his dead friends).
Despite being the coolest thing since the Fluffer Nutter, Dave seems to be easily influenced by John. He has never removed John's gift, citing irony as the reason, and John's talk of the monster Howie Mandel stopped him from enjoying his Apple Juice. Also, it is important to note that Dave never feared his brother's puppets until John pointed out how unnerving they were. It might be that Dave is just an easily influenced person based on his inner desire to be super cool, but he has no problem keeping his distance with Rose.
Dave is a bit forgetful. He always loses his place in the latest MS Paint Adventure, sets several Sylladex traps, only to release them on himself moments later, completely forgets to pour out some Apple Juice for his homie, forgets all about his Timetables and thus, forgets he can go back in time, and even manages to forget his own intentions to forget something. (though that one might be him being ironic again)
Dave keeps a calm facade up to the exact moment he flies off the handle. This has happened when something makes him look stupid, like being buried under a mountain of puppet dick or having crows invade his personal space.
Underneath his cool facade he appears to be rather caring towards animals; he was visibly upset when he accidentally harmed a Rambunctious Crow and he may share Jade's interest in anthropomorphically persuaded fauna. However, this might just be one of his many ironic gestures. Regardless, his gift to Jade - a picture of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff as furries - seems pretty sincere.

Haha, yeah, I guess it really is interesting how I read/watch things. I don't know anyone else that does it. Most people have a hard time understanding why I do that.
Xiomara and I were talking about how if I was a Creator in SR, my power would be to become the character that I empathize with. Rex named it 'Sync'.
Oh, okay. But nobody ever looks at that. People who've known me for longer on DA just call me 'Random'.

Haha, yeah, it's not too bad. I enjoy reading like that. Though I guess it may be problematic if you were to ask me about other characters. I would only be able to tell you how the character I empathize with saw them. Can't really give you unbiased overviews of them.
Well, I guess the idea is that my body just undergoes the transformation to become that character. Xiomara and I talked about it a bit and decided it would have to be a conscious act of 'syncing'. You know how in Xiomara's version, the ability is based on communication with the characters? I would consciously strengthen the bond to the point where I actually become the character. I think the commands then would be given directly through thoughts. I guess it would be as if the character was put in my situation, what would he/she/it do? There would most likely be no difference between what the character would do and what I myself would choose to do. And the moment there is a difference, I would 'snap out of it' since I am no longer being the character. I think I could also actively 'snap out of it' by weakening the bond that I had strengthened in the first place. And the time limit would most likely depend on how much I empathize with them, since I snap out of it as soon as I stop making the choices they would. For example, I have two characters of my own that are based on me. So I suppose my time as them wouldn't have a limit. But it would be different if I synced with others' characters. And yes, Rex named it in a way. After a discussion with Xiomara about me hating but empathizing with Rex, I had a dream that I met him and we discussed our abilities. And he called mine 'Sync'. Haha, yeah, its kinda weird, but I took it.

Thanks for the information! That sounds like an interesting ability; certainly one I'd like to see in action. Perhaps you can write something about it or talk about it more with Xiomara? (Did she tell you about her SR adaptation?) If you become the character, what happens to your own body while you're controlling the character? Does it stay still or move as the character does? "Sync" is an appropriate name for it. Good job, dream-Rex.

Haha, yes, I suppose my views could be pretty interesting. I'm confident I can give the most in-character responses to most of the questions concerning that character.
And not a problem! I actually solidified a lot of my own ideas about the ability while describing them to you. And yes, she did tell me about her adaptation of your story. And I'm not sure what you're asking by that question? If I may, I definitely could write up a short plot that would describe my idea of how the ability would work. I'm not sure if it would fit in with your original idea of abilities in SR, though. And deam-Rex was a bit vague in my dream, but his body figure was somewhat like slenderman (/laughs) without really distinct facial features. Except his eyes. Dark blue eyes kind of stood out. And thinking about it now, I think he had dark brown hair with bangs around his eyes? Eh, not entirely sure

I'm glad to hear discussing it was productive to you. Er, my bad. I meant, could you explain more about the process of "sync-ing" with a character? Does your mind enter the character's body; do you see through your character's eyes or whatnot? If you do write that, I'd like to see it! It's alright. Innate abilities have come a far way from how they were in the beginning.
