Lol. I've been around..just not active here very much. Most of my art is now on my facebook if I even post it. xD I've been so busy. I'm a manager now (about to own the business in a few days), about to graduate with a BA in studio art in may, and now trying to buy a house. xD

Retail...*cringe* I can understand. Though, at the same time, I'm kinda stuck with it! But..different I suppose. It's a pet supplies store. Not so much as animal based but more high quality pet food and supplies. And, my bugs. My boss let me bring in various praying mantis species and tarantulas. Unfortunately I'm still at my parents' but that's why I'm trying to buy a house. renting ended up being out of the question due to how much it's going to cost. Buying a house will cost a lot up front but it will be my own home. no landlord, my own rules, etc.

Hope things have been well though.

Ooh that sounds cool! Spiders not so much haha they freak me out. 
Lol I don't think I'll ever be able to afford a house without help, and I'm really not the asking for help when it comes to big things like that. Plus I don't need a whole lot of space so an apartment or condo or something would be ideal for me. A house is to much work lol

I love the bugs, spiders included. I have one who is super docile. Like...I'm surprised how docile he is. A mother let her 2 year old son hold him and he and the spider were super calm.

Yeah, I've got two roommates joining me. Close friends of mine. I'm trying to get the house on my own but most likely my dad's going to be co-signing for me. I already found a house and it will be perfect. For me, condos or apartments are too small. I have three dogs (a 40lb, a 38lb and a 10lb) so a fenced yard is a must. Plus I have cats and small animals too (something that has never changed about me haha). I'm on contract already for a 3 bedroom 2 bath house thats 1692 sq feet. Has a bonus room (aka will be my studio/game room) and a window-enclosed florida room/back porch. I'm currently waiting on my bank to get back with me.

Ahhh I see. Yeah apartments aren't big enough for big dogs. I won't have any pets. But if I ever do get my own pet, it'll be a cat they're so easy to take care of heh

My dogs are heavy but they aren't entirely big. Their heads come just past my knees and even if they stand on their hind legs they don't even reach my chest lol. They're medium/small dogs I suppose. One is a collie/german sheph mix and the other is an aussie/blue heeler mix. The smallest is a chiweenie. 

Cats are awesome. They help me relax and every night I have two of mine sleeping with me. One by my head and the other by my feet

Yeah. My oldest one is one that sleeps by my head. She'll be 10 this year. Then the other that sleeps by my feet is going to be 3. I have two more - one that's going to be 4 and another that's going to be 2. All were rescues. And my boss is letting me take another rescue home because of her circumstances. I never wanted 5 cats but this one won my heart and her life has been ...well, to give you an idea...she was found trying to get into a taped box at the end of a dead end road. Inside were her kittens. She and her kittens were brought to us (kittens were thankfully okay..scared and dirty but otherwise okay). Her and her kittens were vetted and then the kittens got adopted. We tried to have her taken to an adoption event but she had an anxiety attack and we decided we couldn't do it. She then became a temporary store cat until she chewed open bags of dog food and attacked my boss' dogs. Now she hangs out in the cat boarding room with other kitties and we felt bad. We couldn't put her out for adoption because she would have anxiety attacks. In the end when I found out I was buying a house I decided to offer her a home. She's a blue calico (mainly grey with some orange tabby markings)...super affectionate. Again, I didn't need 5 cats but she is one special lucky cat.

Yeah. Nobody else on DA pays attention to me anymore. D:

And it was great! Bf took me camping overnight and then canoing all day yesterday. Other than the sunburn and the canoe tipping over, it was great!
