I can definitely agree with you in terms of some of my older images but I'd have to disagree with my more recent work (in all fairness there's not much of it on here at the moment due to college taking up so much of my time) but I do spend plenty of time planning shoots in advance and coming up with original themes or following something that's already out there eg. Cosplaying. I also have my college projects running with my personal shoots and they have to have a specific concept, it's a college requirement.

A lot of my photos, even the candid stuff, has deeper meanings to me than might be obvious to views or than I even write in my descriptions. It is, after all, up to the audience to interpret the artists work.

When I had my interview for my degree a few weeks ago I was told my ideas and concepts were great, but my photos lacked technical correctness. I wish I had asked them to elaborate now! Haha. I got on the course anyway so they can't be that bad but I still want to improve a lot. Getting a great shot is definitely a lot harder than most people think, even myself. Practice, practice!
