Awww well there are some cosplay that are recognizable but they just look like street wear. Some of our cosplay use store bought clothes.

That takes some make-up (should be easy make-up too) but it would be an easier cos-play to do.

I got my ma to help me but there are no GIRL hunters...And I can't cosplay a lot because there are no dark colored people in most animes....DAMNIT GOD!!!!!!

There are people who do female versions of characters.
If you do a good job on the costume most people don't really care about your skin color but if it bugs you, maybe you could try switching the colors of the costume to suite your skin tone better. It just a thought.
Just so you know I've seen the color change thing happen with Sailor Moon Characters a lot (I have no idea why it's mostly Sailor Moon) but they rock it and seem to be having fun.
But it's just, as they say, food for thought.
