I have a dll plugin for daz studio 3.0 but it does not work for 4.8
are you able to get it to work for 4.8 if i provide the dll file

When Daz Studio 4 came out, they radically changed it and removed some features and added others, so the short answer is no.
Even if you want to, you would need the original source code that the .dll was created from.

There are examples in the Daz Studio SDK which you can download at:

You will also need Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 (community version is free but huge download size).
Coding is c++, which takes time to learn but there are many tutorials online to help understand it.
You could try scripting also, it is easier but somewhat limited, just check out Daz forums to learn more about it.
