~pootpuzo didn't plan on posting his work on deviantart for the most part, and thought lolly's avatar was cool. He made a mistake. Chill out, seriously.
Oh and Keith? Welcome to DA.

Man, it would be awesome if you could design my tat for me. You're an amazing artist. Even if i cant get it done by you, maybe the design could be by you. If not, thats cool too. But ya, you're amazing.

My art fee for custom design work is half of my tattooing fee, usually about 50/hour.

beautiful tat work. quick question. what is it if the ink isnt stayin in the skin while tryin to tattoo. my friend has done tats. but she got new equipment and ink and everything and she couldnt get the ink to go in the skin...i mean. one prick and the ink stays. she tried to tat for hours and got no where. she changed the speeds, depth of the needle and everything.. shitty inks perhaps????

She's doing it wrong.
I am going to go out on a limb and assume your friend is self taught, with no time in a professional studio under an experienced mentor?
Without this form of guidance, your friend will continue to have problems and issues with her work coming out.

really? She was an apprentice for 2 years. and has done tattooing. not stretchin the skin enough. she stopped tattooin for about 3 years and just picked it up again. Ill talk to her about it. Her tattoo artist is in jail. so she cant apprentice for him anymore. and he didnt charge her cuz she did flash for him. everyone else says she has to pay. but yeah. i saw the tattoo she did on her teacher (the tattoo artist) and it was beautiful. we dont understand what was going on. any info?

Hopefully I don't come across as needlessly harsh here...
If your friends mentor was himself a jailhouse scratcher, then its entirely possible her technique was flawed as it was taught to her. Always consider the source when it comes to training.
It's difficult to say what might be causing issues of ink not staying put. Factors include, but are not limited to, poor quality ink, improperly tuned machines, improper power supply voltage, poor needle technique, overworking the skin, or even the client not taking proper care of their work. Without knowing more, all I can offer is guesswork.

no he learned and had been tattooing years before he was arrested. then was arrested and tatted in jail for 25 years. then was released and went back to his real equipment. was under "numbskull arts" he doesnt tat anymore since he was arrested again.
he did amazing work. and did beautiful pieces without blowouts or raising the skin at all.
shes been studying to figure out what went wrong. because when she worked with him she had no issues. her tats came out flawlessly. got her own stuff and well thats another story. she read everything and set it up accordingly.. needle only comes out a 16th of an inch when running. the part that makes if vibrate (i dont know the name i dont know tat lingo) was a dimes width apart i believe its the contact screw.. her inks were runny when she bought them.... so that could be one thing. and the over working the skin? one stroke and the ink wouldnt stay. so i think its under stretchin it cuz he was chubby stretchy skin. the voltage. she knows a slow needle chews skin up. and a fast needle with a slow hand does the same thing. also the tubes. she got disposable. which bend with the heavy gun so it slows the needle down. shes not happy about that so has stopped till she gets metal tubes. also shes purchasing new ink again. the stuff she got sucks and it was alot of money. she knows about speeds, angles, depths and all that. knows about blowouts, and messing the skin up. but when she worked with her mentor the equipment was already set up. she learned how to dissemble clean and reassemble but it was a totally different and older machine. so possibly she doesnt understand her tools yet. when she gets her new stuff shes going to use her leg instead of someone else. to troubleshoot. i think its the runny inks and lack of stretching skin. and possibly the needle being slown down by the shitty tubes.
thanks for talkin with me about this BTW. no need to respond if im botherin you

prism inks. my son bought her a kit offline cuz she wanted some stuff eventually. so he wanted to suprise her.. and she was really upset cuz he spent alot and got crap inks and stuff when he could have spent the same and gotten mommas ink and shit....she said "why not ask what i wanted so i could save you money?" cuz he ended up wastin a ton of money. now the equipment is nice.. just.....sad runny inks. and the tube he got. so yeah. were gonna invest in moms inks and some real tubes and stuff.
