Welcome to DA, and thanks for the watch.

I've had pretty good experiences with the Canon LiDE series scanners. They are cheap and good; all the linework you see in my gallery was scanned with one.

My only gripe about them is the scan bed size, but that's a problem across the board. It costs six hundred bucks for four more inches of scan bed, all other factors being equal.
