You're very welcome, I hope some of my waffle has been of some use. The thing is, it's all subjective, so there's no right or wrong way - it's really about the result that makes you feel good. Hope this makes sense!

True, but I'm a little bit of a perfectionist so I worry quite a bit about the little things in my art and photography. But hopefully it's good enough to be recognised by people on DA. Thank you so much.

I've always found with photos (although many would disagree) that, as long as you have a grasp of the fundamentals (which I won't go into here) then the results will finally arrive without too much thinking. Especially with digital cameras, because there's no real cost or time issue in being experimental!

Yes, that is true. I think once I get more experience with the camera, then I will feel more relaxed with my photography.
