Just wanted to say I've been around DA for about as long as you, and I've seen it go from a place where you can get great constructive critism, to a place where far too many people post far too many "Wow, congrats!" comments. So every time I get a comment from you, I really appreciate it!

i don't know what it is about your work, you seem to consistently land in the "wow, this is really beautiful, and there's this one or two things that sort of pops out at me" category. and you've always been really receptive to critique, which makes it easy to do.
i think two major things have happened over the last X years or whatever: first, holy crap you've gotten really skilled at anything you're trying to do. second, i've learned to lighten up and not sweat every pixel of an image, missing the forest for the trees.
here's to 2X years of good work!

thank you so much for your comments!! i like the picture of hermione very much, as i think she somehow looks more "alive" than some of my other portraits where i tried to copy as closely as possible (that took hours!) but i often feel that these pictures look kind of cold and "unalive"! so i was very proud of this sketch!! 
iΒ΄m rather surprised someone else likes my farbkopf (means colourhead if u donΒ΄t talk german) it was one of the first pictures i did with copic markers and i remember being absolutely proud of it *laugh*, but i always thought i was pretty much the only one liking it, because itΒ΄s so colourful and the shifts are a little rough in some places and well... with all that hard lines in it. so iΒ΄m especially happy with that comment!! thanx again

all your work i've seen so far is absolutely wonderful. i used to really dissect art on this site and go into detail, now i rarely take the time but i still like to think carefully about why i like something.
i'll keep checking back as i have time.

thank you. The shadows on the picture "anna" is just photoshopped. I don't have all that equipment that photographers have, just a simple digital camera and learning to use photoshop. I need to try using my old camera because i love it!! I'll just have to buy film

nope, my bachelor's is in software engineering. thanks for the kind words, but i don't really know much about art... i just try to find the specifics of why i like something and where i might do things differently--that way i'm always learning.
i stink at having time though.

unfortunately that one is photoshop..I've caught the lens flare on other photos before but recently everytime I try to capture it, it doesn't show up in the photo. :'(
