Well, as you can see, I really don't have the time to do much stuff, but when i do, it's in Photoshop. I have 6 right now, but I'm probably going to upgrade to CS soon. By trade I am a website designer, but occasionally, my employer will have me do some graphical work such as PPT templates or flyers or something like that, and some of them I can upload to here, just for giggles.
The only other app I can think of that I used with any of the submissions I have here is UltraFractal, which is a program that allows you to create and generate fractals using various formulas. I used that app on "Lord of Angels" for the crown and the wings, but of course, I messed with them in PhotoShop.
Anyway, thanks for the great compliments!
So are you a GS, an officer or enlisted? I used to be enlisted in the USAF. I was a crew chief on C-130s during Desert Sheild/Storm.

I've used the trial version of CS and it's a great upgrade. My fav feature - you can now type on a path, something I've been craving the past few releases...
I'm a GS, but I used to be enlisted in the USN. I was an IT (used to be RM), and they hired me at the same command as a contractor when I separated. About a year later I took a GS position. I was only in the Navy for 3 years; never saw the "real Navy" - spent all my time on shore duty.
My employer has very tight apron strings and wants to control everything down to the typeface (well he IS a genius, and he DID work in his dad's print shop 20 some years ago). He's very controlling and doesn't want us to do more than posters and postcards. But, I'm still teaching myself Premiere, After Effects and 3DS Max in all my **spare** time
Your "technical Design" (the PPT title slide) really rocks. Did you spend all day drawing those wire frames?

Heh! Yeah, It took a while, but not all day. I did the paths in Illustrator, because the pen tool is much easier to use there IMO, and then just imported the paths to PS. It was a four step process to get the look just right.
First, there is the photograph of the beeper...I clipped out the background for that, then I created the paths in Illustrator, put a thin stroke on them, and then I copied the photo, and applied the mosaic filter to it, which gave it the "pixelated" effect to it. The fourth step was overlaying all the images and creating the compound mask so it went from photo to pixel to stroke. I did that for each of the three items.
I'm glad you like it!
WHen I went to school, I learned Premier and After Effects. I've forgot just about everything now, but I really enjoyed it, I'm sure you will too.

You can see I have a lot of time to get on here!
I've been snoozin... #
I added you to my friends list cuz I really like your polished look. Very corporate, and that's what I trying to become...if my govie agency will ever let me expand beyond my "military collage" boundaries.
What programs do you use for most of your stuff?

thanks for the +fav, but I suppose I would have liked something more substantial than a hit and run praise button.
