I do concept art and 2d in-game art, and also some GUI work too. Do ask your question, I have no secrets !

I wanted to know -- do concept artists work in the office with the other team members? If so, how do you deal with doing your digital art and so on? Do you bring in a USB with all your brushes and settings, do you have to set up your own computer, or do you bring in a laptop or what?

Yeah of course they work as all other team members. Just relax and do what you usually do! As of now I work out of office. But I used to bring my laptop and tablet along for a couple of months β this is a painful experience, never do that! I highly recommend bringing your settings (brushes, panels, extensions, scripts you use) and reference/inspiration folders to the work computer. That's essentially what you need for work. If the employer doesn't provide you with a tablet or you want to use your own, I think its ok to bring it with you. It's not that heavy for everyday commute, but it's usually not small.Β
