NaNoWriMo is short for National November Writing Month.
Basically, it's an online "contest" of sorts (no real prizes), which challenges writers to write a 50,000 word story from the start of the month to the end of the month.
Basically, as a writer, you're constantly pushing it up, since you have next to no time to push it to the side and think about it. It's not for the best story, but for a story that goes that far, if not farther.

Well, because when I was writing this, I wanted it to play in a regular story format, with chapters and such.
Also, because this is the minimum of chapters that I could write that made me get over the 50k word mark.
Finally, it's also because I didn't want to group up the chapter with too many things happening at once.
If I did so, it would just make things more complicated, and in a web format of reading, I wanted to make the chapters no greater than a half hour to read for each.
