Ahahaha XD My best friend says it works great to mix the two; draw everything in PTSAI then finish and polish it in PS. And thanks! XD It's good to be back! Kinda lonely with like three watchers, but I'm having enough fun drawing for the moment. I miss talking to you, girly! And yeah, Shirana would like to be drawn ;D I'm wondering if I should make a new OC though. A more permanent one. As Shirana is part of someone else's club from Deviantart, it doesn't feel right to say she's purely mine. So I want a very original character drawn with my current creativity and skill. Beta critique for me, beb? ;D

It takes a little while of consistent participation and communication to really start gaining watchers/buddies. I still kind of suck at it, haha! But the more you do around dA, the more folks will show an interest in you and your art.

Also OCs are ultra fun and I guess my advice is to just think of a concept you think would be really fun/neat and run with it! Think about what kind of characters you identify with or find interesting, and expand on your favorite aspects of those characters as a basis for your own. Also think about what traits/concepts you wish you could see in more characters, and factor those in as well. If some vague but cool idea pops into your mind, don't let it run away! Think more and more about it until you can make something of it, even if it seems farfetched. And even if you feel an OC is starting out kind of derivative and bland but you still like something about them, really explore why you feel that way and tweak things that you could stand changing.

I don't know how much of this you already know/do, but you asked a pretty broad question, and so this is my broad answer! Hope it helps, regardless.
