They start feeding on other chickens... when night falls, horrible things are happening inside the hen-house... things you wished you never saw, or even heard about... and after a while, the chicken will find human flesh extremly tempting...

Well, about half an hour later (Chickens are stupid creatures, trust me we used to keep them), they start going nuts and eat all the feathers on their wings. They then proceed to eat their own "fingers" and eventually they all commit mass suicide.
