Cool, I stumbled in here randomly, but I've been listening to Machinae Supremacy for years. Love the music, and the album art.

Although it has taken me quite to come back to MaSu, it is always the same universally-defining reasons: You guys have a style that continues to impress, time and again. Secondly, the album covers are expertly crafted to the album contents. The message may not always fit, but no one should deny the artwork compliments your sonic qualities.
That is all, I thank you in advance for reading this. Please continue making music, I await it eagerly.

MaSU has provided the soundtrack to nearly every video game experience I've had in the last 3 years. Β Everything from sniper hunting in the battlefield series to rocking out to flagcarrier, while carrying the flag in WoW. Β I'm absolutely hooked.Β

Hey! First of all; thanks for the great music and art. Secondly, I've been wondering that are the cover pictures actually worked from the scratch, or is the girl of the covers actually someone who exists?
This might be something that any HC-MaSu fan would know, but what can I say.. (and I'm too lazy to grab CD's from my shelf. Haha)
Keep up the good work!

Hey
I use references and often textures from real photos to make those images. What I end up with never looks anything like any of my references though, it's a total frankenstein, but in the first few moments of creation, the image usually looks more or less like something I use as reference. Could be a bunch of stock or actual photos I've taken of people and surroundings which I use as starting point. Then I just go crazy.

I've just listened to Force Feedback and lost count of how many times I've come.
The website is fantastic, the music - as it can be already heard - will be awesome and the very moment the preorders start, you can be sure I am getting the newest album.

You should post the album art for A View From the End of The World.
Or is it "not to be opened 'til 11-3-10"?

Great work on here! I'm looking forward to your future artwork and the next Machinae Supremacy album.
Speaking of the next album. Are you planning on insert art like Redeemer has? Or take Overworld's minimal approach?
P.S. Love the art and texture on the Redeemer CD. "PWNZ THIS SHIT"
Fervently, but patiently, awaiting your (and the band's) work.

Hey dude, how's it been? You wont remember me, but I posted on one of your journal entries I believe about a concert here in Portugal a while back... like 4 years ago, I believe.
Still, thinking back, it's probably too soon, as MaSu still haven't gotten really that much in Portugal, just mostly around the miniscule Metal scene here.. Which is a shame.
Still awaiting for the day you mark some impact here and get a gig here. Better late then never, hehe.
PS: Had problems with the whole QuakeNet IRC thing a while back, but may try it again.
Keep on rocking, you guys!!

How do you feel about touring abroad? You haven't been outside Scandinavia a lot, but I'd certainly love to see you guys over here, in Poland, someday.
Tet's hope that happens soon... or at least sooner than later

I second the sWINtzerland request. After all, Swiss and Swedish Chocolate taste identically for some people, so we've got an epic bond of win and awesome!

Who is the model on the cover of Redeemer? i must know!
π: 0 β©: 1
nordlander In reply to Shalinar [2009-11-03 18:57:37 +0000 UTC]
It's digital art, and photo manipulation. One might say it's a frankenstein painting. There is no model who even remotely resemble the final product.

Are you guys going take a different direction for your next album? You're always trying new things, wondering if we are going to here something revolutionary and genre defining on the next album.

nordlander In reply to Chrono-logiX [2009-11-03 18:56:33 +0000 UTC]
Hehe, thank you. It's hard to predict really, we don't try to reinvent something by planning it that way. It simply happens - or not.

Chrono-logiX In reply to nordlander [2009-11-05 02:27:36 +0000 UTC]
That is the same thing when I am making signatures or digital stuff...I plan something, it ends up completely different than I visioned it.
Most of the time it turns out nice, but there are those times when you look back at something you wanted to do and keep trying until you get what you really wanted, I am sure you must do that with your music too from time to time
