Hello. I'm a big fan of the Legendary Starfy series, and I've been collecting the merchandise over the past few years.
I was wondering if you were the same NessEggman who made this post on GameFAQs. www.gamefaqs.com/boards/946577…
If yes, I'd like to ask a couple of questions regarding the Densetsu no Starfy 3 song.
Were you referring to the Oha Suta version of the series title theme (Umi no Neiro) or Perfume's song Vitamin Drop? If Perfume's version of Umi no Neiro is indeed in an album, what is the album called?
You said that the third song was not released as a single but rather in one of Perfume's albums, so that leads me to believe that you may have been referring to the Oha Suta special ending. Vitamin Drop was released in a single with Attraction (or maybe that song was intended to refer to gravity or magnetism, though I'm not sure)), but when checking Japanese Wikipedia I can't find an album with the Oha Suta theme.
By the way, The Legendary Starfy did have a commercial with its own version of the title theme, but without any lyrics, unfortunately. Though when you said song you probably meant tunes with lyrics.

Heya. Yeah, that is me! And man, that is forever ago, hahaha. I barely even remember making that post But I'm surprised I still remember -- probably just because you just mentioned the name -- but I was referring to Vitamin Drop. And yeah, I was referring to lyrical songs when mentioning the 5th game not having its own song

Are you still interested in Starfy? I'm hoping for a sixth Legendary Starfy game to be released some day. In a Nintendo Life teleconference with Nintendo/TOSE, Hitoshi Yamagami hinted that there were plans for a sixth game in the works, but now it's nearly been five years since. Maybe he just meant that he and/or other people on the team wanted to continue the Legendary Starfy series, or perhaps as someone on the NinDB forums suggested Nintendo may have fell out with TOSE in some way.

Yeah, I'm still casually interested in Starfy. I used to be a huge fan and started a collection, but I've since gotten rid of it. I at least had all the games CIB and some random stuff like the CDs and whatever. But I'm kinda not into collecting like I used to be. I'd like to see a 6th game as well. Considering large gaps between releases in other Nintendo series, I wouldn't be surprised to see one eventually. Perhaps when they think a new demographic might be interested. I've also been rooting for him as a playable Smash Bros character (or him and Starly as a duo, with a Moe special attack

Oh, I see. I don't like to clear things out I once liked personally, for sentimental reasons (unless it's something like old school work, though I'd never throw out say a photo album), but I can see how it may have cluttered up the house.
I'm not sure what games you're thinking of. Nintendo brought back Kid Icarus through Kid Icarus: Uprising after over 20 years, but this is perhaps a different case as Legendary Starfy is not a dormant franchise to the extent of Kid Icarus. Who knows what the future will bring, though. For all we know a new Legendary Starfy game could be out this year.
I'd love to see Starfy as a playable character in a Super Smash Bros. game too! It's a shame that it appears he has returned only as an Assist Trophy in SSB4, but that's better than him not appearing at all. (small smile). By the way, I made a Super Smash Bros moveset for Starfy which you can find here, I think you might like it. fryguy64.proboards.com/post/11…
I like your idea of Starfy and Starly as a duo, even though I think he could work perfectly on his own, with maybe a special colour change that turns him into Starly.
Thanks for the 'good luck' re: my collection. I'll keep checking out the relevant auction sites when I can. Funny thing is, when I bought my Densetsu no Starfy 4 Starfy plush, it was listed as a "Super Mario Bros. star", despite having a correct picture (of the Starfy plush). It's interesting how there can be mistakes like that.

Hi! Actually, I remember your username B_L. I was huge into HM forums and was on them in every spare minute I had, hahaha. I feel like Harvest Moon forums was like... an era of my life or something.
