It's like in Bowie's "Warszawa" The city is still very... communist. In a good way. You know what I mean. Grey and dirty but after all sooo romantic with that kind of special atmosphere - somewhere in the air... It's one of those cities which are unchanged for years. You can feel spirit of 70s, 80s on every corner.

Thanks Oh, so you know some words in my language? Something more than just 'good morning' ('dzień dobry' or 'sorry' ('rzepraszam'? Haha, even those phrases are good at the beginning, I guess. I'm learning to foreign languages except English - German and Spanish. Both are just TOO hard -.-"

I understand Polish is very hard to learn for foreigners. Maybe even harder than Japanese because of grammar and pronunciation xD All those weird letters like 'ś', 'ć' or 'ę'... I think Italian is a lot easier. I was in Italy once but I don't know the language. All I can remember is the melodiousness (?) And pizza

Finished my degree in 2006, have been doing part time illustration and part time rent-paying work since. But 2009 is all about the illustration, going to really try and nail a decent portfolio in the next few months and hopefully get some regular income (^_^)! Do I gathe correctly that you're doing a foundation in Brighton - how's that going? I love brighton, hmmm, fond memories....

ahh sounds good, so where did you do your degree? how has it been getting illustration work?

i'm actually in my first year for the illustration degree here, i did my foundation last yr at camberwell. its going pretty good, i need to start producing more work though, i tend to think about things too much! absolutely love living in brighton though (:

I went to Leeds College of Art and Design, actually studied visual communications, but started to specialise in illustration in my final year. I've only had dribs and drabs of actual illustration work since- I've found it easier to get graphic design type work (paid work anyway!), but I never really pushed it, sent a portfolio/business cards around, made a website etc. So lame! That's what I'm doing now while I still have the opportunity, so I'll let you know in a few months!

A whole 3 years of illustration sounds ideal! Hope it continues well - know what you mean about thinking about things too much... I'm better now, took me a while to figure out the way I like to work so I could just get on with things! (^_^)

so you mustve done a lot of the graphics side of things too? thats pretty good for getting jobs i guess. im useless at anything overly technical! do you want to work freelance? id love to be in some sort of collective, it seems more fun that way

Um, a bit on the graphics- not my strong point either, I prefer to just have a pencil and some paper! Yeah, freelance hopefully, a collective would be sweet but more for the experience of other people's illustrative styles and collaborating.
