He has a pretty unique style. I like the matador-ninja combo. The claw, mask, and snake tattoo all works together to make him a very original character.

Speaking of writing, do you get the image (i.e. the physical appearance) of characters first in your head? Or do you start off with a set of traits? I'm just curious.

It varies.
Sometimes I imagine a physical appearance then develop the personality based on the "feel" or "aura" of the character. I often draw the characters to try to develop their looks as well as their personalities.
When I have a specific purpose in mind, the personality comes first while trying to intertwine the physical appearance to match. I often draw these characters for further development.

I usually don't have a specific purpose in mind because it kind of feels like the characters come to me. I mean, something else could inspire the story they're in, but the characters just kind of pop in my dreams or thoughts, and just... kind of take root there.
