did you take any photography classes? or did you just play around with the camera and self-taught yourself?

I have no formal training in photography. My Dad was a professional photographer so I had accsess to cameras from such an early age. When i was a kid I used to hang out with him in the darkroom and learned quit a bit from the experience. I shot strickly film untill about a year ago but thought it was time to make the switch to digital. Still have my own darkroom set up though

cool... it's great that your dad was a pro photographer... i'm jealous... haha
but yea at first i thought that i was one of those kids that tried to do the "cool" thing... but then i remembered that at a young age i LOVED taking pictures... but my mother would scold me and tell me that i'm wasting money... so my love for it got suppressed... until i finally got my own digital camera i was able to express my love for it all over again...
then i finally took a intro to photography class last fall... but i'm still learning... and i plan to take more classes first in film and then later to digital, since my technique needs major improvement... i don't consider myself trained since i only took one class... also my professor was pretty nice and lenient...
