Ah, Moonstone - one of the greatest low fantasy games every made! As long as the tavern remain, it will never go forgotten! (www.moonstonetavern.co.uk/) I was so happy when games like Demon/Dark Souls came out, because I feel they were in a same vein.

It's okay man, I should update my blog more often too, but at least I found you here and you're active, I've seen some artists that disappear from the face earth haha.

I find it weird that you don't get many comments man, I mean you're working in the industry and the quality of your work is amazing!

I'm very glad you enjoy my work, it's easy to forget when in production (where work is just another cog in the production line) but hearing it really motivate me to keep posting it online.

Hell yeah, finished it 2 years ago (time sure flies by) I moved to Paris to work on a ps3 game (the cursed Crusade, not big of a deal but was fun) and i'm now working in an indie studio, working on various project, trying to find some funding. Freelancing in my spare time and preparing a trip to Montreal in 2 years Gotta update the book to find a job :3

Last time I heard from you, you worked with DICE no ? how was it ?

What? How is that not a big deal? That's fantastic! We all have to start somewhere, and as far as I know that was a big production title! Good credit. Indie studio sounds like a lot of fun, creative environments are the best - What kind of work are you looking at for freelance?

Oh yeah, DICE.. that was something like a year or go, when they were finishing up BF3. I jump all over the place with freelance stuff, right now I do work for Sixmorevodka and some marketing stuff for TV. Next week I'll be at Avalanche Studios again.

(Don't worry too much, once you have a few satisfied clients down you'll likely have more work than you have time for!)

What are you planning to do in Montreal? (That requires two years of planning/savings!)

hehe ho wow I didn't expect such a long answer ... Sooo where to start. Right now the only difficult thing with indie studio (as far as the one i'm in) is financing. Having ideas is great, but not having any funding to put them to the test is another thing (even though right now, it seems there are some publishing companies interested in some of our titles).

The upside of it...complete freedom ! Even though right now it's mostly 2D (gosh, that was my weakpoint) I hope i'll jump on some 3D, even lowpo, to get the chance to hone my skills.

As far As freelancing goes, weeeell, its ranges from anything in 3D to 2D, I worked in an advertising company when I was younger and I still use that knowledge to work in different areas than 3D (latest was Audi, fun stuff). Client is often my old boss, so it's easy to have a good contact and feedback with him. I hope somewhere in the future i'll have more contacts : you can never have enough..ahaha

Good to see you're still roaming here and there, seems fun. I'll definitely would like to work as I want once i'll have enough experience and knowledge (and saving).

About Montreal, well my girlfriend will finish her studies there, and we're planning to go together (and not long distance relationship stuff :s) so i'm prepping myself to the max, working overtime for myself and improvement. I sure know it's requires a lot of planning, that's why i'm starting to work, hone, get better and work the hell off to earn some money even though I know our due date is around 2~2,5 years. You can never be enough prepared !

Anyway man, that's really awesome to have some news of you, tried your livejournal some years ago but it's somewhat abandonned. XD Keep up the good work, I hope i'll have some more news from time to time !

Fantastic to hear! Where did you study, and where are you now? Working or intern position? You'll be learning so much more (and faster) in the field than in school, atleast in the beginning.

3D is a lot of fun, and a grasp of 2D is a great compliment to it!

Well, right now I am living in paris, currently looking for a job ! I did a 6 months internship and it finished in march. Soo, need a job, and I'm ok to go anywhere, as long as I have a job

Ah, good luck finding one! I recommend you create a linkedin account (its free) if you haven't got one and connect to everyone you've worked with (and liked). Maybe get some recommendations while youre at it. It's a good way to stay connected to people and hear about oppertunities.

There's a lot of studios in Paris I guess, but don't forget companies like Ubisoft also have studios in Montpellier! Mmm... beaches.

I'm freelancing since a year back, lots of fun! Right now I'm at DICE working a little on Battlefield 3

Oh yeah Linked in yeah, i have a account I made when i was working, guess I should use it more . I kwon some other studio in france like Asobo, Arkane, Darkworks and stuff, but the economy those day makes it so that they somewhat hire only seniors and such...that sucks, guess I gotta work my 3d some more !
