Well, art is by definition subjective. What may not be art to you may be art to someone else, and vice-versa. Art is a representation of those things we treasure in life, and I treasure nothing so much as my family. Also, stock photos are to be used to create art. Obviously you aren't familiar with the concept of stock photography. I appreciate your frankness, and you are entitled to your opinion, but maybe you should stick to the finished art sections of DA and not wander off into resources so often. Have a nice day. Luv, M.

Thanks for being nice about it and I respect you got holding your grounds and whatnot. I don't mean to go wandering into things I don't understand, but now I do just a little more than I did. I do have my own opinion, but so do you. I thank you for being who you are.

it is a common misconception that stock images are art photography - and they are not. This deviant is providing artists like myself a starting point - a base. Please don't slice them up because you feel it isn't art - art is subjective as she said - and comments like yours discourages people from bothering to improve and grow in their vision.

That's what I thought...you might want to put a journal entry up which lists your rules otherwise there will be some people who will just use them and not tell you.
