Do you have any tips for upcoming cosplayers or first timers, with costumes or anything?

The first thingΒ I recommend is to cosplay characters that you really love, by their personality or aesthetics.
NO matter the body, or age or skin colour, just do whatever you want.
If you don't know how to sew, try to find something easy or modify clothes. (three years ago I knew nothing about sewing XD)
Be patient and do things with love and care
If you need something feel free to ask
