What's the reason you guys keep changing Nova's face?

Graphics updates related to new tech. If you're asking why Nova looks different in say the heroes cinematic, than in wings of liberty sc2, than in NovaDLC; Different artists have made those different models, so each one is different and representative of their work style and inclinations.Β
Art direction was different for each one of those too. While Heroes cinematic Nova looks spunky and youthful, Nova for DLC was directed to look more... rugged I guess.Β
The only Nova I've personally done in the newest campaign version, which if you pair it up with WoL Nova, it is quite different again (imo better :] )Β

I am not sure which one I like better in terms of WoL or Covert Ops. The heroes of the storm one was my least favorite, I feel like that does not represent her well. I prefer the cold/more rugged look of Nova even the one all the way back to Starcraft Ghost (RIP). The Covert Ops model she seems a bit fatter in areas while the WoL model she is really skinny.Β
I think that's the reason why I started working on mods because Starcraft Ghost was never released. I was always making a pseudo Ghost game for fun which than turned into working on Fallout: The Frontier.Β
Forgive me for my curiosity, are you allowed to be hired for free lance work or does your contract forbid you from doing that? I know for some people I talked with they are allowed to work for me but for other people their contracts prevented them from doing so.

For me aesthetically I like the heroes nova (in the cinematic, in game is dif) but I think she does lack a certain edginess required. I don't think we've ever really perfected the look tbh, and it's kinda good in a way that fan artists have so many interpretation as well. Nova seems to really belong to everybody ;D Β

Yes we all love Nova. I have my receipt somewhere of the Starcraft: Ghost I bought. I was in 14 than. Good memories... Heart broken when it was "delayed" indefinitely. I like shooter games and I loved Starcraft. It was two in one for me.Β

Just photoshop and aftereffects. I've played with some aftereffects plugins for FX stuff too.Β
If I have a recommendation to check out, it's this program called Spine, it's what I think I'm going to get into next, might be worth checking out.
