When crocheting, what weight of yarn do you like to use? (sport, worsted, bulky, etc.)

I haven't crocheted much things so far, but the yarn weight depends on the particular project: for bookmarks I use embroidery thread, for scarves I used worsted, for amigurumis I used sock and sport. Smtms I choose based on the look of a yarn, e.g. I found a very smooth yarn which is great for amigurumis, and a great ombrΓ© yarn for scarves... And you?

That is awesome. I bought some crochet thread recently, but haven't tried using it as of yet. Most of the time I use a worsted weight, but very slowly I'm branching out to try other ones.

Thank you for favoring my works. IΒ΄m so glad you like them. IΒ΄m trying to make those Barbie-dresses as natural as possible. Mainly IΒ΄m using second hand material. Only lace and satin ribbon I may buy, if I donΒ΄t have a suitable one. Lately I have been too busy, to make new ones, but I hope, I will get time to make some more.

You really succeed in making them natural looking! They are perfect. Do you design those dresses or make them based on photos?

Both and. Sometimes I get an idea and start making a dress based on this idea, sometimes I see a picture of a dress and try to make as similar dress as possible. The truth is, dresses seldom look the same, but if it looks well,I am satisfied. I have been drawing my own patterns, so that they fit as well as possible to the Barbies.

Making a dress based on a photo is perhaps even more difficult than designing your own. It's also quite difficult to find a similar fabric.
