I love 80s music because it sounded so happy. Music now all sounds pretty depressing. But not everything. What was your favorite new wave band?

Yeah, alot of 80's music was pretty happy. I had so many favorite bands. Adam Ant and David Bowie were tops I suppose, though Bowie of course was recording before that.
How about you, what are your favorites? Did you grow up listening to it from your parents?

Kinda a weird story with me. I never really listened too much to my dads music when I was growing up and my mom listened to 90s techno stuff. How I got addicted to 80s music was all the movies I watched was made in the 80s with 80s soundtracks. The Goonies being an all time favorite. And at the time I thought what I was listening to was newish. So then later I finally figured it out and noticed how good music was back then. Been addicted to it all ever since. But some of my favorite bands are OMD, Duran Duran, Flock of Seagulls, Gary Numan, and The Cars.

Those are all great bands. You should make all of your friends listen to 80's music too.

Good deal. I listen to music online sometimes here at work, and I've had a christmas station on today. A Cyndi Lauper song came on, it was very sweet. I'm wondering if she put out a christmas album.
