Good to see you here. Ive always appreciated the parts of your journey that you have made visible.

I'm thinking of trying to reconnect with this place myself.

I am intrigued by your Nunavut experience.

Salutations!

Woah. They're glass. They look like sad fragile glass balloons. It makes me laugh but it's not funny...

I just did an installation with hand-made balloons, me and 2 other people attached them to ourselves and wore black. Their was black confetti and a city scape. I need a picture. Anyways, the piece was similar but not as strong.

That's a good collection, I enjoyed that. Mouth music is fun, and sounds so bizarre. I want to get really good at it and start immitating city sounds.

OMG, I am really diggin' Janine Antoni's rope. That's so beautiful, and so deep. I am totally awe struck!

This is a very interesting retrospective of artists you're showing me, I like seeing how different people approach art making, and wether they pull your heart strings. They're all equally impressive.

I know what you mean. I like art that hits me in the gut. The kind of art that I see and I have to sit down because my knees get weak and it's hard to breathe.

Haha, I'd be more likely to jump up and down and start shrieking. Last week I was in the Art Gallery of Windsor, and there was this really awesome sound piece, and it was motion sensitive, so their was lots of running and jumping. And this dude walked in and I'm like, 'look at this, this is amazing', and then it turned out to be the artist who made the piece. I felt like such a boob, hahaaa.

Rain, rain
Falling is the only thing you ever do
You’re getting pretty good
You’re getting pretty good at it now
Down, down
Down to where the trouble and hurt does live
Where so many fall
Where so many take and not give

What, what
What if it was simple like the falling rain?
Love comes down and just sinks into your heart
Cause where you fall, fall
Fall so hard it’s ugly just to see your face
Fall so hard the earth beneath you looks the other way

Pain, pain
Why did I invite you to be here again?
I thought we were through
When I walked away in the rain

When the supreme authorities of our culture tell us to get down on our knees and beg for salvation from some divinity, is it any wonder there are people begging on the street for salvation from poverty? Well, it's no surprise to me. I left my home in the church, I left my home in the suburbs to wander. I did it all for my dreams and the star that I followed fell from the periphery--the street lights slipping down my windshield fell like falling stars. Down a dark country road I first left my home when I was seventeen, and I paid my respects to my fellow rejects, but I tended to wander alone like I was listening to the words of a song whispered soft and low. It's kind of like dancing--it's kind of like losing your mind, and I've often considered the impractibility of my life. The moon behind the clouds is ill-defined. I got lost so many times but I could not be consigned to a fate of obsolescence and decline. So I'll take the chance again, and the Mockingbird is my friend when he sings a song in the warm midnight wind. I'll follow my old tune and I'll wish you good morning.

If you'll gather 'round me children
A story I will tell
Of Pretty Boy Floyd an outlaw
Oklahoma knew him well.
It was in the town of Shawnee
It was Saturday afternoon
His wife beside him in his wagon
As into town they rode.
There a deputy sheriff approached him
In a manner rather rude
Using vulgar words of language
And his wife she overheard.
Pretty Boy grabbed a log chain
And the deputy grabbed a gun
And in the fight that followed
He laid that deputy down.

He took to the trees and timbers
And he lived a life of shame
Every crime in Oklahoma was added to his name
Yes, he took to the trees and timbers
On that Canadian River's shore
And Pretty Boy found a welcome
At a many a farmer's door.

There's a many a starving farmer
The same old story told
How this outlaw paid their mortgage
And saved their little home.
Others tell you 'bout a stranger
That come to beg a meal
And underneath his napkin
Left a thousand dollar bill.

It was in Oklahoma City
It was on a Christmas Day
There come a whole car load of groceries
With a letter that did say:
You say that I'm an outlaw
You say that I'm a thief
Here's a Christmas dinner
For the families on relief.

Now as through this world I ramble
I see lots of funny men
Some will rob you with a Six gun
And some with a fountain pen.
But as through your life you travel
As through your life you roam
You won't never see an outlaw
Drive a family from their home.

Broken by the silence that echoed in my heart, I couldn't help waving when the waves rushed my way. And when the world tilted over I saw my dreams; things arn't the way I hoped they could be. You are so kind to be civilized, don't think that I haven't noticed. Somehow I've been too sad to think, and too sick to care, but someday I'll meet you in the cold mignight air.

Hey Alyshka, werd to yo motha! Hrm, I should update. Their's only a few pieces in my gallery I'm actually happy with, I need to hook up the scanner. Man, is it that time already? I have to go back to school? *Sob*, I'm going back to Ontario in a week, then moving to Torontonio a week after that, where did the time go?!? Bye lazy, yet busy summer. The seasons are already starting to change here (Salt Spring Island), it's getting colder in the nights, and it started raining yesterday, which it hasen't done in 2 months, now it'll rain and rain and rain.

So anyways, I'll update in a week. When I'm in Windsor.

My theory is that the crop circle phenominon was started by students from competing art schools in England. And now they're laughing their heads off that it's developed into a whole phenomina, with aliens to boot! It's like someone stumbling across one of my anonymous art projects and publishing in the paper that it must have been done by faeries.
