Hey, don't feel too bad, these were accumulated over the course of like... I dunno... a really long time. I basically didn't draw for the entire summer. I mean I'd doodle, but it'd usually be nothing worth putting up. Anyway, I basically just moved all of these over from my tumblr account. I kind of randomly stopped using my deviantart account when I got my tumblr and realized that I hadn't told anyone on here, so I've been absent on here for like a year or something. Until today that is. The moral of this story is mostly that I'm really bad at maintaining an online presence. : \

Its okay, everyone has their own life to attend to. We can't expect people to be online all the time (well most people. I for one, am a lazy ass and i'm always on DA or facebook, I need to change that. speaking of that, I should be working out right now 0_0) But yeah i'm planning an interesting concept soon and I hope it works out. It would look better using digital art but I don't have a tablet soooooo pencil and paper it is.

Yeah, for me it was sort of like, I had this huge lapse in motivation and didn't create as much stuff for a while. On top of that, my inbox on DA was crazy full 'cuz I never deleted anything so I started avoiding DA due to anxiety. I just had too many unanswered messages and not enough art to post. The first thing I did when I got back on here was delete over 200 old unanswered messages. Meanwhile tumblr was more entertaining, and it took the pressure off 'cuz I could just reblog a bunch of junk in between posting art. So I just switched from DA to tumblr for a while. Really, I can usually only sustain one social media account at a time, which is why I've never gotten a facebook.
Anyway, I don't have a tablet either, but my solution to that has always been to combine my pencil art with photoshop coloring methods. Like, if you look at my pencil sketches, the reason I make all my lines so clean is because I anticipate taking most of the finished sketches directly into photoshop, and I need to be able to make clean selections of the areas I want colored. It's probably more of a pain in the ass than just learning how to use a tablet, but it's what I've gotten used to. ^_^;

Facebook just wastes your time, don't bother with it lol. It's just a huge shitstorm of things that usually don't matter XD
I might invest in a tablet soon if I get back into drawing. Gotta see if i'm willing to put in the hours to improve my work before I get one though.

I kind of figured as much... most people who have facebook accounts tell me that they literally only use it to get in touch with people. Basically it sounds just like glorified texting.
I feel like I could learn how to use a tablet if I put my mind to it, but so far nothing's driven me to do so. Like, my dad has a tablet but it's hooked up to his computer, which he always needs for his work. It's hard enough to get a solid block of time on there whenever I want to color something with photoshop. I feel like I'd need my own tablet that I could use on my own computer, but that would involve a lot of set up. Like, I don't even have any art programs on my laptop.

Oh okay, yeah I feel you. I don't have much either, nothing like paintSAI or photoshop. I have Gimp, which I mostly just use for photo editing and tweaking my renders that I make from my 3D modeling software.

Oktoberfest was awesome! XD I won the knowledge bowl that we had there, and my side of the 'armies' for the play totally knew the song better than the Prussian side xD

Yeah, I flipped out Thursday night when I realized it was gone. The problem is, I'm pretty sure I lost it at school, sometime between the end of last hour to the time it took me to go home D: I found the cap to it in my last hour's classroom on Friday, but I still can't find the thing itself. I'm hoping that I can find it, but if I don't, I'll at least try to recreate the files I lost.

That sounds like my situation during senior year... I left my third hour class without my pencil case and realized that I didn't have it as soon as I got to my fourth hour class, which was right down the hall. I went back to the other room real quick during that same passing period, thinking that I could get back before the bell even rang, but the teacher and I couldn't find the thing anywhere and I spent that entire hour searching 
I mean my story is sort of an extreme worst case scenario thing, but yeah... I can sympathize

Aww, that sucks D: my problem isn't nearly that bad. All my usb had on it was a bunch of old school projects I forgot to delete, some pictures I was working on, and a few little stories I didn't have saved to my computer. Not really anything that'd be important to anyone besides me. Luckily, I have hard copies of some of the stories, and bits and pieces of the other ones are on my hard drive in the school's computer, so I can pretty easily recreate what I lost. I've already got a majority of one of them done. It freaked me out at first, but now that I know I can get most of the stuff recreated from memory & hard copies, I'm not so worried xD Mostly I just needed it for my final Creative Writing project, and that's not even due for seven weeks xD

D8 nothing desert-worthy? Here, let me do you a favor: go to Schnucks and buy a Ritter Sport bar. It's a giant chunk of German chocolate, and they have all kinds of stuff in 'em. There's marzipan-filled, cornflake ones, hazelnut ones, everything!
XD I keep my usb here now, it doesn't leave the desk unless it needs to. But now I store all my stuff on Dropbox, so it's cool xD
