thanks, I add you too ^ ^
It's great conception give snakes names from mythology.
My motley albino is called Sachmet from Egyptian mythology.

hey, i know you to be rather informative when it comes to reptile information.
yesterday we had a huge blizzard hit us and kill our power. last night it got down to about at least 48 degrees in my house (outside it was 16)
with no power means no heat for my ball python, and i was afraid she would freeze to death so i stayed up with her all night long cuddled with her to keep her warm.
i want to know for future reference what i should do if it happened again.
is there any kinda reptile heating thing that runs off batteries i could possibly buy? what do you suggest i do, or get.

Wow first sorry about what happened.
I know alot of snake keepers and breeders are faced with similar situations. I myself live in Canada and would be screwed if that happened here with 20+ snakes. I will have to do something to plan for this situation as well.
What you would need is a generator or a propane heater. Hopefully you would be home when it happens cause you could then run a genny and power all your heating equipment. Another thing that could be cheaper and easier would be to have some heat packs available. Like the kind for your gloves in the winter or ones for your back that last 6-10 hours.
hopefully your python is okay and I would love to Brainstorm on this matter
