The description of the DD is quite exaggerated, I think, but it was the very, very early days of DA. It was a 1024x768 abstract-ish wallpaper. My brother had sketched the original design.

i find that i go through spurts of activity on the site myself, but i always come back, i think its just that the community is so pleasant to be part of, and seeing the work that people come us with is genuinely fascinating.
